Sigh.

The only money that's conveyed in Tunica for water, beer, liquor or food is the tip. And yes, we're spoiled since there's no jp drop in the 20 game and max rake is $4.

I'm going to guess sarcasm, but I can never tell.

The chip on the right features the names of all three of the Gila locations - and yes, they use the same chips at all of them. They're transitioning from the "old" chips - also Paulson's - with the "man in the maze" logo on them.

If you've got "old" Gila chips, you've got a while to unload them. I think they're taking them for the better part of a year.

I'm not a rat.

I don't mind the suggestion that, "Hey, you've got some grumpy dealers out there," but I'd never name names.

2 tables going this morning at 9-10am-ish.

The place looked great though! I'm very impressed and I'm sure the people at CAZ are as well. They're going to have to step up their game to make sure their place looks as nice if not better when they open in January.

I believe there's a virtual tour online. It will be gorgeous, and bigger. And not have $2 bottles of water

I'll be shocked if this $2 bottle of water business continues very long. Why give customers something to be upset over that's so easily fixed? Then again, it is the gaming industry...

me too.

It's really frustrating to me when the things I hear most from players can't be fixed by the poker staff. (Where's service? $2 bottled water?! Where's the bathroom?)

BUT

I hope this week offers an opportunity to work out the bugs in the system after the slammed opening weekend (electronic board, paging system, service button, etc.) Will keep ya'll posted.

Wow, a lot of action at the 2-250 spread limit game today. Every other pot was at least $100 and I got to take down an $800+ pot.

Nothing draws a crowd quite like a crowd.

It just takes a couple of people willing to switch to that game from another casino for it to go full time; and once it goes full time, expect multiple tables.

...But if it doesn't, it'll be tha same room with a rarely running SL game it was when it was a half a mile down the road.

How many tables are playing the 2-250 game? Was there much a wait?

Every single thing I've ever heard about Mississippi poker is that the player is treated fabulously. Someday I'm going to have the time to visit when they're hosting a tourney and experience it for myself.

They do know how to take care of their poker players. Everything except the room is comped (and at $49/night, who cares), even meals at the table if you're so inclined.

I'll meet you there, HB.

It was just one table and it started at about 1300. I arrived at 1130 and there were 5 people then on the list to start the SL game. I don't know what kind of wait was on the table since I was there from the start.

I have not been able to make it over this week. How is the 8-16 action? I hear that they have had an 8-16 game going around the clock, true?

Played there today and they had 2 $2/$250 games going, a $8/$16 Hold'em, and a $8/$16 Omaha game going. The Omaha game wasn't a full table but they had up to 7 players at times. the $8/$16 game was full the whole time I was there. There was a list for $15/$30 but it never ran while I was there.

The bottle water is now FREE!!!!

The only complaint (other then service) are those floor vents all over, if there's one under or by your chair it's freezing.

You can rotate the covers on them and they will shut nearly all the way. Players last night said it helped them be comfortable.

Myself and greg started the $8/16 omaha heads-up and we quickly got a few more players - started at 2pm and I left at ~12:30 it was 4 handed..

We will be starting this game at least 4-5 days week around 12-2pm

O.E. would be awesome!!!

I probably wont make it to the 8-16 game untill Thanksgiving weekend. Are there any special promotions running over the holiday weekend? The donkeys and the snow birds usually come out and the action is good, atleast it was last year!!

I must admit I was one of those juice boxes in the game yesterday for a short bit. The old Gila almost never ran a Omaha game. But, I definitely learned my $200 lesson, and will be returning to the Hold'em tank in the future.
