Yeah, they got a lot of Fort Pierce's "good" dealers.. there's a really nice one.. her name is Joy.. she runs a tight game, but honestly, she's an amazing dealer. Umm, there's also Jimmy (or, James) - he's really good.. and I know they picked up some others but I apologize as I can't place their names at the moment.

I actually like playing in Melbourne.. its a good room.. its just an hour+ drive for me

yeah there's an 'Indian' guy that seems pretty good. He actually dealt me a high hand and I don't think he thought I was going to find him if it held up.. he's new but I got a good rep for taking care of the dealers. he'll learn.

there's a lady, maybe her name is Joy, she's nice enough, runs a good game. but I'd like it if she didn't talk so much about hands/play. A little too vocal about angles/moves for my liking and it's borderline during the live hand, but nice enough anyways.

my only beef with melbourne is the chairs.. they look sexy as hell but man they are uncomfortable.

Yeah, I'm a big dude.. (also, kind of tall.. 6'2") - their chairs suck.. lol. Joy is pretty unmistakable.. she has long hair, wears glasses. The Indian guy might be Ross, maybe? He's another good dealer. I'm actually thinking of heading up that way to play this afternoon as opposed to going to Ft Pierce since you reminded me how much better it is.. lol.

cool. I've had to take this week off (friday/sat I'll return) after playing in Hollywood this past weekend.. wifey would not have been to keen on me trying to get out the door during the week.

tonight is cracked aces ($100) promo so don't be surprised to see people playing the best pair possible the worst possible way.

Club52 running a 100k tournament this week (multiple day 1's, day 2 on Sunday). satellites are being held during the week, not sure what the buyin is for those though.. I'll be paying the $300 entry.

only what I've heard.. several players are making the drive to Melbourne and when players from that room get to talking it's always "that place is horrible, I won't be going back".. Melbourne has also gained a few new dealers jumping ship from Ft. Pierce due to them saying how bad the place is.

I used to frequent the room when visiting friends in PSLucie. I learned over the years that the people that work here and run the place:
1. Don't give a sh*t about customer service
2. Don't care if you ever get into a game
3. Never start any tournament on time, never, ever...
4. Just don't seem to keep the place very clean.
5. Have no idea what really fresh food looks like.

I could go on. But what I did was learn to drive down to Palm Beach, (an extra 45 minutes) and have a really good time there.

So.. if anyone's curious. This room will be closing as of the EOD on 10/31. They CLAIM they are going to find a new location in the same county... with that being said, at the moment, they don't even have a location picked out, supposedly. The estimate given was 2 - 3 months but my speculation is it will be a lot longer. They sprung this on the staff / dealers with 5 days notice.. they're the people I feel bad for.

The owners are supposedly going to keep the current property and knock down the building in case an opportunity comes up later to repurpose it - but, again.. who knows.

The one thing I will say is they're not giving away any of the 'jackpot' money prior to closing so maybe they do show back up, eventually? Who knows. All I know is I'm thankful to that place for all the times it has paid off to play there - so.. in that aspect, it'll be missed.
