Also it’s wsop so a couple players are missing and summer break…

It’s slow but there’s still a ton of games running every day.

Same with parx.

I have to admit I think the comp system is partially responsible for the terrible games. If you're a retiree you receive comped food, rooms, shows, giveaways, etc.

Pretty good deal for nursing an $85 stack at 1/2 a couple hours per day while socializing.

Last time I was there a few months ago, it was pure comp talk at the table. Everyone has rooms, no serious action, very boring people. I'm not sure if I'll ever go back to be honest.

Yah scene is pretty beat even on the “busy” promos days. Just not really an enjoyable experience overall and quality of no limits games are poor.

Having bounced around most of the northeast rooms recently there are much better and more enjoyable games out there.

As someone who remembers the 92 table room full on weekends this place has been dying a slow death.

I really miss the room being downstairs it was a great atmosphere and you had windows so you could see the real world outside, the doors so you could go outside and get fresh air when on tilt , the 5th street cafe a place to get food and not have to march all over the casino, J lot to park in which was right near the room and you didn't have to fight for parking with regular casino guests... oh ya and a cage actually in the room unlike the new and "improved" room which has none of these qualities!!!

P.S. You also had $400k-$500k bad beat jackpots because there were so many tables contributing to the jackpot and you got $4/hr to play if you had the poker black card... SIGH!!!

I also have been bouncing around the NE forever (since Foxwoods opened). I agree with everything. At this point I rarely go to Foxwoods or Mohegan, mostly due to the length of the drive, and lack of comps. Just not worth it.

I used to love Borgata, but haven't been back there since early 2020. MGM royally screwed that poker experience.

Parx and Maryland Live are great.

The entire Foxwoods property has been dying a slow death for years.

I agree with you on the quality of games here, but as far as comps go the CT casinos are tops.

Where are the better games?

I go to parx and Foxwoods… the problem is parx is an extra hour or two round trip.

Parx is also full of good pros. They do have more recs and the games are generally softer but they do have some solid regs.

1-2 ends up being 1-2 anywhere imo….

Passive play limping bunch of nitty omc. Action player or two eventually dusts and game goes back to nitty.

The comps are better at ct casinos and this may attract a worse clientele.

More rake in Boston makes the games better bc it chases a lot of regs away.

Not for awhile. Your best chance is the 8-16 OE that runs every saturday.

I'm heading back to FW on August 5th for the first time this year. This thread doesn't make things sound very good, and I agree with the sentiment of missing the good old days with 92 full tables on Manic Monday's.

What are the chances of getting a mixed 1/2 NL/PLO game going on a Saturday? In case this will attract some of you fisherman, I've never played PLO live (or for more than $10) but wouldn't mind trying.

Mix won’t happen…

The 2-5plo is a great game even if you buy in for the min 300 (cap is 1000)

As far as mix goes… sometimes Mohegan gets rotation NL/PLO on Tuesday but that also died down as no one wanted to play holdem.

When I was in the Saturday tournament at Mohegan, a NL/PLO game was being called. Don't remember the time but it was between 5 and 7pm

Why not?!, It’s the stud capital of the world and the limit OE games have been popular! Hold’em is where the money will always be but it’s so boring at times!

Can anyone confirm that FW rounded up status when one was short on tier credits last time around? I benefited from this in the past, but it has been a couple years since it has been an issue for me.

Also does anyone know, roughly, what the cutoff is? Within 10% 25% etc.

Where is this? It’s been a while since I’ve been at Foxwoods.

The old Fudruckers, Golden Dragon, DD and Pequot Ballroom areas have been remodeled. Hell's Kitchen is already open and the new casino expansion and Wahlburgers open later this month.

I heard a ridiculous rumor on YouTube that the poker room is still being moved, but to a much smaller 20 tables cash games only.

No way this is true right?

What's the future plans for the Rainmaker casino? Don't they have to do some remodeling when this indoor water park gets closer to opening?

Food court at the Fox Tower has been the rumor for quite some time now.
