WeÂ’re the Monday tier and point promotions just for the summer?

Have they drastically increased the tier level you need to be to get rooms? I haven't been on the website/played there since Pre covid, but I used to get free rooms for weekdays all the time. Finally have a few days I could make it out there, but without the room comp IDK if I'm gonna make the trip.

Room offers have nothing to do with what tier card you have.

Oh wait, if you haven't even been on the website since pre-covid, you might not know that they changed how you book comp rooms. You no longer get them as offers in your account. Now you just log in and go to book rooms, and it will show you your free/discounted rate. There is a link by the date select tab that allows you to view a calendar and multiple days at a time.

oh thanks so much, would not have though to check that. yep seeing monday-wednesday most weeks. appreciate it. do you know if the $25/night resort fee is waived on comped rooms or do I still have to pay that? It's sort of unclear

They usually put $100 hold on your card that gets released in usually around 3-5business days. Pay it on Friday get it back next Thursday.

Keep 100 comp points to use as your deposit. Use an old pre paid visa with no balance to book online, then if they screw up and hit that instead of your points it doesn't tie up your actual money. For some reason the hold still goes through on a pre pay with no balance.

I'd prefer that it wouldn't only because it's hard to tell how much cash is under the chips and you give away a little bit of information when you have to ask.

On the other hand with the cage so far away and the dealer floats (i.e., trays) often lacking in chips for players to buy sometimes cash is the only easy way to get money on the table. That said I buy a fair amount of black at the cage when I arrive and keep the extra black chips beyond my buy-in in a secure bag in my pocket. But I only play games with buy-ins up to $1000 so perhaps cash is needed in the big stud game and 5/10 PLO.

I haven't been to the casinos for a while... Bravo is showing only 10 tables running at Foxwoods, but Mohegan has 24. Is that normal?

Double status Mohegan on Tuesday

And it’s not normal for Mohegan to have more tables unless a promo is running

It's good for the game that people can lose their money just as fast as they can on any other table game in the casino. Encore now has people jumping through so many hoops to get chips... last week I had sold nearly every chip in my pockets before I even had a chance to sit down, for real. Even then, "they" don't want you selling chips at the table. Encore even got rid of the chip runners when they raised the rake. "Creating jobs" yeah, sure. And the one floor that gets stuck running the cage goes on break what feels like 25% of the time, meaning someone goes broke, and has to go downstairs to the only public cage in the casino, and stand in line for maybe 10 minutes to buy chips. The escalator going back up to the poker room was broken down last week, for real. People - after waiting two hours to get in the game - had to detour around half the casino just to rebuy. Who ever heard of such a thing?

But, I swung by Foxwoods for the first time since Encore opened this weekend, and while I managed have enough time on my hands to dust off a buy-in at 2/5, there was a guy just dumping money on the table. I'd forgotten such a thing was possible. Cash plays? Yes please. I wouldn't change a thing.

Ya there’s definitely a convenience factor…

It’s just annoying bc You can’t tell how much people have and then one guy got mad when I wanted to see his chip stack and he angrily blurted out “you have me covered”… I really didn’t like offending my customer like that but I also need to know how much people are behind or I can’t play correctly.

So the problem I have is just not knowing how much people have behind. Cash makes it easier for people like this to angle calls that they wouldn’t normally get.

In a game of deception.. having another level of deception seems annoying.

But you are right when someone’s dumping or in need of chips it’s nice that cash plays. But you can also just sell the chips from the tray.

Idk like everything else there’s positives and negatives.

Also if you’re at encore or fw you should probably buy reload chips when you get your original chips as to not have to wait in line again.

To avoid giving away information, if a player has a bill or bills I’ll find a spot when I know I’m going to fold anyway and ask how many 100s he’s playing.

Foxwoods buying extra big chips isn't a problem but at Encore I was getting chips for the 2-2 bring in for 5 PLO game and they limited me to $1000 in chips (one max buy-in) when they swiped my rewards card. I wonder if there is a way to get around this.

You can buy more at the main cage, and supposedly at any of the gaming tables. There is also a casino credit account where you can connect your bank account and just sign for chips at any gaming table. They apparently float you a loan for 30 days, and then debit your account.

The casinos will specifically tell you that casino credit is not to be used for poker, only slots and table games. How strictly they enforce this? I don't know.

Hey there! Unfortunately it’s been too long since I’ve been in any poker room in the area. Just wondering what poker magazines/newsletters they have in the Foxwoods poker room?! Mohegan?! MGM?! Thanks!

Are they still wiping out your rewards points if you don’t go to Foxwoods within a year?
