I figured it out. Thanks anyway.

Has anybody played the daily blackjack tourneys? I was wondering if anybody could expand on the structure, how many players end up playing, how to register (first come first serve?), etc etc

They start on 2/1. AFAIK, Foxwoods hasn't run a similar promo in the past.

The daily slot tourney that just ended had an EV of about $12 per entry. But the daily prizes alone were only about $1 in EV, unless it was an exceptionally slow day at the resort. So really it was only worth entering until you got the one time qualification for the grand prize drawing.

Hopefully someone will post a trip report about the 24th Anniversary slot and blackjack tourneys soon. I'd like to know details about the structure and prizes as well.

They had them years ago,and if the format is similar they are lots of fun. They have maybe 10-12 tables and the strategy is different than regular blackjack in the you don't play against the dealer, but rather the other 5 opponents stacks at your table to advance. There are min and max amount you can bet on any one hand, you play maybe 20 hands total and the last hands are placed in order around the table so everyone has a chance to see what their opponent is betting and can play accordingly.

They ruined these a year or so ago when they removed the max bet restriction on the last round (you can now go all-in). Significantly reduces the advantage of being the chip leader.

Also, FWIW, IWTSTH does not exist "everywhere else".

They said it was in effect when I was there. I was there earlier this month on 2 separate days and asked 2 separate floors. Both told me that it's there.

Also, FWIW, it is standard and it's the only place I've ever even heard of not having it.

Does anyone know if the high hand promo will be going on in February? I checked the website, they are still showing January 25th.

I would love to get a group of people to commit to a 10/25 NLH game some point in February. Is this something that I could organize on 2+2, or am I just wasting my time. Any info helps. Thanks

Maryland Live has a modified version. They don't show losing hands ever, if the person doesn't want to show. There are also some more rules on who can ask to see winning hands.

AFAIK, IWTSTH does not exist at WSOP either. Or many CET properties, though the degree to which each property enforces it varies in my experience.

Many places seem to be moving away from "standard" IWTSTH.

They blew their whole budget on low end shuffle machines and a Microsoft excel license.

Found the sheet online, day2 is Tues at 5pm. Looks like they modified the WPT500 format for a faster turbo. Why would FW do this on a Sun-Tues schedule instead of Fri-Sun?
