Sit n go's almost never go unless you happen to have good timing and support from the floor to announce it. They might start to go again if once the entire room is combined again so they are not separated from the cash game traffic but they won't be a regular thing for sure.

And stud8 you'll find it in mix games like the 8/16 HOE sometimes HORSE game.

Thanks for the responses. I'd be thrilled to have an 8-16 HORSE game going when I go there.

Are the daily tournaments worth playing?

I plan on arriving Sunday late or Monday early for a couple days.

Interests PLO with buyin of $500 min to uncapped max.

I have zero interest in HORSE, etc., and would only be interested in NLHE if PLO didn't run AND there were games running with $5k to 10k ++ on the table and decent buy in levels.

Am I making a mistake by driving up there? Borgata is closer...but, not an AC fan

^^yes!!! Might get lucky if 1/2 PLO is running 5/10 hardly ever runs. You should use the bravo poker live app to check the games it's an extremely helpful app for iPhone or android I believe.

I was at FW yesterday. 25/50 PLO ran, 3 5/10 NLHE (I played), and 10/25 NLHE.... plus the big limit games.

Well it is during the WSOPc and a weekend so putting that all together is probably why. That is like the perfect storm of events and that does not happen regularly.

And Saturday. I was pleasantly surprised to see a lot of faces that were totally unfamiliar to me. At least half of every table. Games were juicy too.

Saturday afternoon the management in the poker room had a great strategic plan for dealing with the crowd of people waiting for a table: Make them wait so long that half of them left! Go figure!

The buzz around the room i've heard on my 2-3 times a week visit is of many players going to Mohegan Sun more regularly and loving it. To best take advantage of Player Rewards i've heard some making a full-time switch once the new points period begins on Oct 1st at MS. The Woods has softer play (at 2/5 anyway) and better table selection, MS has better everything else. The only reason i even go to Woods anymore is for the softness/variety of 2/5 especially on weekdays. If that moves over to MS there would be no reason to ever go to Woods.

I wholeheartedly encourage anyone interested in Player Rewards to go immediately to Mohegan. In fact I think it should be mandatory that all foxwoods regs switch to MS immediately. We certainly will miss your miserable er... smiling faces in the poker room.

Hmnn. I've been hearing exactly the opposite buzz lately . ("MS is terrible, I'm never going there again, etc., etc.") This may be a function of what games we each play in?
Anyway, let me wildly guess that most players tend to go to the room they prefer, so if you hang around either room, you're going to hear from a lot of players who don't like the other place. (OTOH, poker players will naturally complain bitterly about whatever room they actually are playing in, anyway, so who knows?)
Anyway, I think it's great for the players to have two rooms competing for their play, and, in the end, the players vote with their feet.

Limit players will never switch to the Sun, no matter what the comps. It could take days or weeks for their limit games to be called.

Exactly. Glad we don't have a monopoly like some rooms who can get away with zero comps and high rake while still filling the room.

Limit, Stud, Omaha, or any mixed game will never switch due to lack of those games at MS. Why any casual NL Holdem player would choose FW over MS is a head scratcher and even a tell as to their decision making capabilities. I do understand why a reg would since you're following the fish but still plenty in the pond at MS, just not as many in 2/5 game during week.

Are you guys planning on running any $350 SNGs to the main where 2 seats are awarded? I think that would be a good idea and run up the number of main event entrants.

Just start an interest list to get one going, there were several for the 580$ event this weekend. Technically the top two got 600$ cash but practically the same. Id say on Friday you should be able to draw interest no problem.
