They are so dumb in that place every penny slot player I know gets free rooms when they go down with 100 dollars max and use coupons to get free food. Yet the friends I have that have thousands to blow and don't mind gambling or fancy dinners are lucky to get a food voucher. The business this place loses from my area near Boston is ridiculous. Such a waste of a casino.

Are you counting lounge access as food vouchers.

Also, big shoutout to the ding song that open jammed quads on a 30bb pot turn that got the one other player in the hand to fold and show his oesfd. Smart.

I read somewhere that they make the most money off of penny slots, so in that way, it makes sense. Still, this mysterious system they have is tough to get your head around sometimes.

'Penny slots' are usually played $2.50 a spin I'm sure it adds up quickly

Yup. A penny slot player at $2.50/spin is worth more to the casino then even a $100/hand BJ player.

run a $20 through a penny slot machine (including playing off the small wins) until its gone, then see what happens with the offers. unless there is a progressive that requires max coin bet per line, just play a few credits per line

of course if you hit a few nice wins and have $100 or more in credits, take the money and run

something tells me this has to be b.s. - but if it isn't its probably because you played so regularly they learned they didn't have to entice you, as you were showing up anyway

I wonder if its +ev to dump 50 bucks on slots if one ends up getting two nights free. They would probably catch on though so I doubt it would work

You'd have to find the right slot, I do this and only play the .25 Wheel of Fortune for $1.25 a pull. Progressing e is usually over 100k.

Perfect example. I now regularly play 15-20 hours per week, plus a few daily tournaments, and I play all the big series tournaments. I hardly get room offers anymore. My inlaws who never ever ever ever go to Foxwoods, can get free rooms any night of the week. We live on the same street. I'm a much better customer.

why should foxwoods give you free rooms if they know they already have your business? You'll be there either way...

I don't know maybe they want to reward their loyal customers?

That's prob why you get weekly points/bonus slot play and their random gift give aways, along with whatever else you are offered.

Foxwoods has no reason to give free rooms to people who show up multiple times weekly and play 20 hours a week + tournament series... some people get them but a lot don't, you shouldn't be acting so shocked and surprised...

I 100% understand the logic there. I don't think it's good marketing, but I understand the thought behind it.

Perhaps some will. Especially those close by. I'm over an hour away. I had been going more frequently the past few months and playing more VP and slots than usual trying to get from Sun-Thu free rooms to Sun-Fri.

Sept I lost my free Sun nights and Oct I lost the remaining nights. I know I'm insignificant to them and my impact on the bottom line only shows up somewhere very near the decimal point, but my last 5 trips have been AC 3x, Parx, and MS.

I don't even use the Mon-Thu nights. Obviously lower tiered/poker players such as myself will always be treated like prostitutes by casinos, that's not FW specific, but I damn well am looking for a better pimp as of now...

If you want free rooms, give action on table games or slots. Table games will give you a better chance of breaking even. Do this at least once out of every 3 trips you make. The smaller your average bet, the longer your going to need to play on that trip.

That's a great reason to head down. I was there for FARGO last year and plo and plo8 was wild. Bugsy and crew running roughshod.

Big fish on his way. Be there tonight or tommorrow.

rec.gambling.poker was the usenet newsgroup for poker discussions back before the modern more graphic internet took hold. before 2+2 came on the scene, it was the gold standard of poker discussion groups.

How big of a bankroll would you guys need to play 5/10NL comfortably everyday at Foxwoods?

What about 2/5NL?

Just curious.
Quote

Theres a bankroll thread.

2/5 and 5/10 is unbeatable at Foxwoods so I would say at least 200k.

This number is so dependent on you that there is no answer me or anyone else ITT can give you.
