Borgata - Played there at 2am there was maybe 3 tables going on a Saturday when the WSOP Circuit was being played down the road at Caesars. Plus the chips stick together, so you can't shuffle them which I like to do.
Bellagio - 8am they had 1 table going, this seemed to be the theme for the majority of the casinos for my first trip to Vegas
Mohegan - Forget it, place is a dump. Seat 9 at the table, I hate those chairs, 2/5 game is rigged, tournaments suck Lack of tables.

Foxwoods always has tons of games to choose from, I feel like its quaint in that its cozy, and comfortable, not in the middle of the casino like some other poker rooms I have been in. They could stand to upgrade the waitresses. I don't even think it is a contest which place I would rather play.

Well, clearly, everyone has differing ideas as to what makes a good room. Maybe I am feeling spoiled after my week at The Aria, sitting in comfy chairs, sipping a tall, cold GLASS of watermelon juice and/or redbull every 15 minutes, taking my phone up to the desk and being met with a smiling, happy, helpful, face willing to charge it for me, surrounded by people happy and willing to their job and not like they are prison inmates taking their final walk down death row. All of this AND great games

This situation happened last weekend. It was 6:00 a.m. on Sunday morning at a 2/5 NL table. At that time of day, the poker room is kind of empty, and no floors were anywhere near us.

The hand was heads up, and an Asian guy bet $65 on the river. An older woman then raised All-in for about $215 total. The guy was a big talker, and he started to talk to his opponent. After a minute, he tells her that she needs to agree to take back her raise. He pressures her a little bit more, saying that if she doesn’t say something quickly, that he will call for the whole bet.

She agrees to take back her bet. She pulls back her raise, mucks her hand. The guy scoops the pot with second pair, weak kicker. The dealer says nothing during the whole thing.

Is this normal? I wasn’t involved in the hand, but I was kind of shocked. Players can make deals like this?

By the way, both players lost all of their chips before leaving for the day.

Yeah, I'd personally rather play at any of the main rooms on the strip than FW. It has a lot of tables but it's pretty depressing and not the best crowd.

I know this is old news but I guess it's now public knowledge.
I am part of the public that did not hear about this until now. So no World Poker Finals this year? That kind of stinks on a few levels.

There are rumors that the MGM brand will be out in a few months. Slowly we will see the MGM logo taken off everything from the signage right down to the chips

I have been hearing this for at least 2 years now. I'm sure its inevitable but that rumor has been around.

They are still going to run the WPF, it just won't be a WPT event so probably not even a 10k main.

Foxwoods' World Poker Finals pre-dates the WPT. No reason for it to go away. Probably the main event will no longer be a $10k though.

Sure there is. Worst attended wpt event ever. That month in the WPTs eyes would be better served elsewhere. Wsop circuit event will be happening in April 13. I would rather have that anyways.

I think that he is saying that there is no reason for the World Poker Finals to go away since it pre-dates the WPT

I stand corrected. Illiterate bum I am.

The 2/5 PLO game yesterday was crazy. Decent list today to get it started again.

If a guy has aces full in 1/5 stud and bets 5 and somebody makes it 10 the aces full "will just call" and win with the aces full and say "I didn't raise incase u had 4 jacks" while the case jack was the bring in from somebody else Hahahahaha

I saw this 2/5 PLO was running on bravo. I didn't make it down. I'm glad to hear it was crazy. I hope it runs more often. I hate to say it but the 1-2 PLO game needs a new minimum but in. I'm not a fan of the $60 min because every time I've been there it seems better to play NL because stacks are bigger and much more money on the table.

Its been my experience it's usually te same regs ( older guys) playing PLO hoping to get it switched to a H/L game. I could be wrong.

But I hope 2/5 PLO runs more often

I'm 25 and played 1-3 for the first time Friday morning. I didn't go there raising every hand, but the hands I did play I raised and bet the max each street. What do you mean mother**** off the table?

I used to play online and I'm a solid player (nothing special). What time is the best to play 1/2 NL at Foxwoods? I teach math and have plenty of free time this summer and really enjoy playing. I know the weekends and weekend nights are the optimal time, but when are the other best times and when are the dead times? Are there plenty of fish at all times? My wife wont let me go that often, so I don't want to drive an hour and find nobody there. Thank you to anyone willing to help me!

Obviously weekends. But it's all about table selection. You can find the nittiest 1/2 table at any time of the week. Plenty of 1/2 tables pretty much every night so just keep moving till u get on one worth playing. Best times to play is during a tournament series. Mega stacks are in August. So target those dates. Mtts for that start at 11 so games will be good all day during that week.

I assume there are games going on in the morning? Are the early games tighter? Hope you don't mind me not understanding, but what does MTT mean?

I'm going to the Olympics so I don't think I'll be available in August :/

Thank you for your advice!
