Also MGM finally removed the mini-bar and sensor snacks from their rooms. Now it's an empty fridge like in Pequot/Cedar.

Does this include all rooms now?

Few weeks ago i stayed on the 7th floor - no mini-bar and empty fridge. Week after that, i stay on the 25th floor and the mini-bar is still there and a fully stocked fridge.

They were doing them floor by floor. This weekend only 29th and 30th floors were left. They'll be gone in a few days.

Disappointing since I made an effort in 2012 to play less in AC and more at FW. I know they couldn't care less, but I just booked 3 AC weekends out of principle...

More doesn't always equal better. If you simply extended the hours of your trips, that should've helped. But if you simply added more trips that may have been shorter than normal, that actually hurts. It's mostly about your ADP.

^ Average Daily Points

I was going for Average Daily Play, but Points is actually more relevant. In other words, someone who plays 15 hrs/day for 2 days will get better offers than someone who plays 10 hrs/day for 3 days, all other things being equal.

Did anyone see or know the guy who had a stroke in the room on Thursday afternoon?

I'm not really close enough to make short trips (~3 hours round trip) so it's definitely not that. I have been increasing my ADT (CET terminology but the same thing)

My increased play has mainly been in the form of VP. It's probably just Summer cutbacks, but perhaps they simply devalued VP play some more.

VP is $300-340 coin-in/pt (I haven't narrowed down the exact number yet). So depending on how much/hand and how many hands, you may actually have been earning fewer points playing VP than poker.

If you play poker and other games, do you think it ever makes sense to not sign in at the poker table on a given day for comp reasons? You might lose 10 points but gain much more in other comps.

(This may be an auto delete for Lattimer, and I would understand if you did).

It depends. I mean if you're carrying a 30 ADP and you're only going to play a few hrs of poker and nothing else, then yes you're probably better off not signing in, as it would lower your ADP if you did. This also means you need to not show any account activity at all that day if you want to appear absent... this includes picking up points or other promos, spending points, lounge access, or even staying in a comped or discounted room.

Of course there could be other factors that would make you want to sign in even for low play... such as needing the day/hrs to count toward black card, or qualifying points for King card, etc.

Ya, they have caught on to Vp point building for comps. Very hard to build points on Vp now. My game of choice for building play and comps is roulette. You get comped a higher % on roulette than most table games.

Bottom line is though, you have to give action upstairs to get comps. The more you give the more you get.

It's tough to say some weeknights there is a 10/20 OE game and there are some guys that like 20/40 OE better??? The 10/20 holdem runs every weekend but not everyday! The 20/40 holdem starts by 1030 and will run til 430am every day the 2nd game gets going by 1pm.... Then on the weekends there is always 2 games and sometimes 3.... On Tuesday night there is a 40/80 holdem game that starts by 7! There is always a list for some sort of 30/60 OE or HOE but never really goes except for a big tournament in town.....
Hope that helps

definitely jump in the 20-40 LHE game. If you're patient it is a game you can make a killing on. 10-20 LHE usually fold to any raise even when holding rockets... stupid

all the money went in on the flop. it was silly. it was a 4bet pot OOP and he lead $500 on a K J x with two spades and she shoved $2000. he had the Ace of spades.

i play 4-8 limit i am trying to work up to 10-20
i am told the 20-40 is super loose agressive with regs
i am told 10-20 is tight aggressive with regs
4-8 fwiw varies night to night table to table from super loose agressive to tight
