If you've only been qualifying through poker play, yup. Their message to poker players - no soup for you!

For anyone who's never been to Cedars lounge, you are not missing out. Went 3x, all horrible. I'd rather use points and get something halfway decent than go back there. Take it away from me, see if I care!

Different strokes...

I can get into all 3 and usually choose Cedar anyway. I like that it's closed off from the casino. Though it doesn't matter, they plan on closing that lounge soon anyway.

Hampton lounge is def better than Cedar... Hampton is pretty isolated also.. Cedar seems to small, gives a crowded feel.. Newport is too open imo..

Quick Question:

Do mixed games still run in the summer at Foxwoods even though so many players are in Vegas? I'm usually in Vegas as well, but I am no longer eligible to play in the WSOP.

You cant just say that without a follow up!!!!!

I have never understood the attraction to those lounges. The omelets are good and the sticky ribs. That's it. Just because it is free doesnt make it good.

I got comped Macallan 12 at the Newport Lounge before. That and Heinekens. That was enough for me to tolerate the food. It was Ok nothing to write home about. The kid that brought me I met at the poker table. He played 20 hours straight he said and they gave him lounge access.

About your comp rooms for July, do you get any day of the week?

I'm originally from Maine but now live in Florida with my girlfriend where I play poker for a living full time. I play mostly live 2/5 5/10 NL and 2/5 PLO. I'm expecting my first child sometime in November. Her family is from upstate NY. My lease on the apartment I'm currently renting is up next March. We're seriously considering moving back north to be closer to both of our families with the new baby. Foxwoods and Mohegan seem like the most logical place for me to be so I can be closer to family and still play poker for a living. I've been to both casinos several times however I'm not really familiar with that area of Connecticut. My question is what are some nearby towns that would be suitable, affordable and safe to raise a family that are relatively close to both casinos. Preferably less than 30 minutes away. I appreciate any help. Thanks

Well first you toss Norwich & New London out...

East Lyme would be most west you would want.

with Westerly RI the most East.

that leaves Groton (my hometown) Waterford, Ledyard, Preston , Mystic, Stonington and Montville.

I'd say rent wise best bets would be Groton or Waterford. To Foxwoods I'm about a 15 minute drive no highway. for the sun about the same just going up 12 to the bridge.

How is the overnight crowd at Foxwoods on the weekends?

Can I expect to be at a table of at least 8 players from 1am-5am at $1/$2?

from my experience you can expect 5-10 tables still at this time..."later" on it dwindles to 2-5

Couple questions-

Do mid-limit mixed games go with any frequency these days?

How is the quality of the 20-40 LHE game?

Anyone see the $4000 pot at 2/5 NL (early Sunday morning). A big Asian kid wearing a Nike Football shirt won with one pair (AA), heads-up.

This is why yesterday was one of the best days of the year so far. The place was jammed yesterday afternoon. I didn't see that pot but saw the guy with the chips and money in front of him. Never seen him before.

You can get offers several ways. Most come by snail mail and some email. However, you can check almost all offers by getting a pin and signing in online to your rewards account.

Checking online is the best way. Often times for free rooms if you wait until you get the mail (electronic or paper) it's too late and they've run out of availability.
