I put it in a zip lock bag and googled what I thought it was- a bedbug. I had only seen these on animal planet and bedbug invasion type shows. Sure enough it is a bedbug. I called to let them know I came home with a bedbug on me and that I was only in the poker room and the rainmaker.

Has anyone else had this happen?
That is creepy and from what I understand bedbugs are no joke

This.

With all the woods around there are tons of fleas and ticks. It was probably a tick.

Thinking about heading up today for the first time in over a year. What is the current buy in / rake or time situation at the 1/2 and 2/5 levels?

Actually just read the faq which has the buy ins. So just help with the rake situation please.

I live in the woods and see hundreds of ticks in the spring time. We mostly see "dog" ticks and not the smaller "deer" ticks.

I am trying to upload the a photo I took, but I am not good with the interwebs.

This is not a tick.

I agree that it is very unlikely.

I have not stayed in a hotel in almost 2 years.
I have never seen a real bed bug ever. Until last night.
No one in my family(wife 3 kids) has ever been bitten by a bed bug.
I have never been bitten by a bed bug.

I picked up my dad yesterday on the way and was at foxwoods for the better part of 7 hours.
I got back in the car and dropped off my dad and went home.
My birthday cake was ready for me as the kids were in their pj's.
I came in the house, washed my hands, and sat down to eat.
A bed bug came off my long sleeve shirt and ran onto the table where I squished it.

However unlikely it may seem, This is true.

The first pic is better focused.

The second pic I couldn't get to focus good, but it shows that its body is longer than a tick.

I wish I could get my camera to focus in better because it looks exactly like the ones on the webmd slideshow. There is a bedbug slide show and this thing looks the exact same.

That definitely matches google image searches of a bed bug. Bed bugs are a huge problem for hotels and public places and then they can multiple like crazy once in your home. I'd be on the lookout for an infestation.

http://bedbugregistry.com/search/n:foxwoods/

Also, I wouldn't chalk this up to poor hygiene by Foxwoods. Bed Bugs are resilient critters who have been overexposed to pesticide and are very resistant to them.

It won't stop me from going back. I just want people to be aware.
I wouldn't have thought it was possible during the daytime and not in a bedroom.

Just got back from playing 2/4 limit and gettin my butt kicked for like the 6th straight time. Guess I just suck at it, there isn't any other explanation. Was down about $100 won a pot, played 23 suited next hand and the stars aligned with trip 3's flop and a checkraise and call of 5 others and a nice $80 pot to get back to even. Then the 2 fishies got up and the regulars came over and I decided to switch tables. WTF was I thinking!! Won one pot in like 4 hours and dumped the $150 i had, bought in for $20 more and won my $40 pot when I flopped a set and then lost those chips when I actually had to play some hands for once. I remember way back when in my internet days when I wrote on my monitor with a sharpie... DON'T PLAY LIMIT MORON! Can someone smack me if they catch me playing limit again please!! lol Not going back to da woods until I get at least 2k to go play some 2/5 and give that a shot again, as I did at least ok at that... anything less and I just can't beat the inferior competition.

well at 2/4 its impossible to beat the rake im pretty sure so that means no one is a long term winner in those games. secondly if you are playing 23 in almost any scenario then you are likely not very good so that is probably a big part of the reason you are losing. Saying you can't beat the games because of inferior competition is absolutely ridiculous and unfortunately you will never be a winner until you learn how to play correctly and adjust your play to who you are playing. gl

Wow Kev, you brought o0ch out of retirement to wish you luck. GG bro.

That brok Allan griffin sounds like a donkey. How many bbs did you have when you shoved?
Congrats!

Well I blame the guy acting before Griffin, James Refino. What an idiot. Seat 1 makes it 60k, Refino calls, Griffin calls, perfect spot for me with 280k to jam here with JQ. Jam I did. Seat 1 folds, Refino calls...leaving him w/ ~100k behind giving Griffin more reason to call. Just fold or shove. If he shoves, I take it down with a river Q assuming that Griffin ends up finding a fold in him (which I think he does). Also, if he folds preflop, Griffin then has a chance of folding preflop.

I just couldn't get any momentum at the FT. If I see J2os one more time I'll punch a puppy. I thought overall I played well and picked my spots well for the entire tournament. I thought I had some flaws at the FT (I open limped once, hey I thought I was overlimping...and knew the gravity of my mistake once I realized the guy didn't call the blind but was the blind). There's some stuff I need to work on. Tough to get experience in them when I hardly play tournies but I think I will start playing them more often now. GL to anyone else playing in these WPT events. I may play the $1500 next Saturday, but we shall see.

Pretty cool that at 11:00 on Saturday night, there were 6 different options/tables running omaha

plo high
plo 8

5-10 limit
10-20 limit

75 - 150 o.e.
15-30 horse

the plo high was wild from the start which was friday around 3. Kept going through the night and was crazy with deep stacks getting pushed all around the table. Players really wanted to mix up the action and gamble.

This morning when we were short handed and were straddling most hands, we make the straddle $5 instead of $4 and it reall yhelped the game. Took out the white chips and the constant change the dealers have to make on a $4 bet was gone and sped up the game.

Honestly, this place sucks because.....
A. There was 32 ppl on the wait list for 2/5. They can't ****ing call a new table? It took 45 minutes to move down 5ppl, wtf. ItS Saturday smack in the middle of this 'amazing tournament series' u run, be prepared and have dealers
B. No wifi in poker room
C. Must move table - ******ed concept to me....never seen this at borgata. How can unpossibly develop reads on people and set an image when ppl are firing in and out of the game. Not to mention I'm at must move for over an hour. Forgive me if I'm wrongl but this is ******ed
D. You don't have a tournament on a Sunday right in the middle of the series. Lol wtf
E. Room rates are awful and booking is tedious and impossible IMO

Honesty this place sucks....
