Yup anytime I play a tournament there I never play for 1st, just for top 5-10, because I know the chop is inevitable.

I rejected the first deal when they tried to make one 5 way, pz with that, it was either bust and get 3k for the next finish or chop and get 5k... withered iyam.

Sunday was slow in the poker room. I played 2/5 NL with the Professor, and watched him lose 4x full buy-ins.

You mean he played and didn't spend 80% of the time roaming around the poker room chatting with people?

Mega stack structured adds pretty much every level into the structure that anyone could want in a standard mtt structure. Where is the compliant that all these people find with this?

Does anyone agree with this floors ruling? I was playing 2/5 and the blinds are posted. The BB threw a 5 chip out but it wasn't directly infront of him and was kind of off to the side so looked like the player to his right was the BB. The BB ends up leading the action and bets 25 not realizing he was actually the BB. Someone to my right calls and I make it 60. The button calls my 60 and that's when the BB realized what happened. The floor gets called over and decides that everyone pulls their bets back and the actions starts again with UTG. This can't possibly be right can it?? Significant action has happened and all bets should stand right?

That's awful. Yes, play should stand and continue normally, per significant action. KITN to floor, and double KITN to BB for thinking he's UTG *after* posting his BB.

It's def a better structure than the deepstacks. My only complaint would be making the $300 have 40 min levels.

Bigger point of my post was that I think there is enough demand for a better structured monthly tourney.

Thats fair i just quoted the part of your post because I had seen it brought up a few times in the last few pages. the structure itself will go a lot farther in making a better tourney than the starting stack or length of levels. I would agree with you though putting the 400 structure to use in the 300 where its 40 minutes after level 12 would be best.

Hey guys. I am staying Tues and Wed nights this week. As most know, I prefer staying at MGM for a variety of reasons, number 1 being that I enjoy the exercise after sitting on my ass for 6+ hours. Well, when I made my reservation last month, for this week, MGM was not available. If anyone is staying at MGM this week and would rather be in Grand Pequot, I am more than willing to switch.

Just call Foxwoods closer to your check in date. A lot of people book the rooms and cancel so availability opens up.

They told me they had no availability left for me in May. I called Saturday and got last night and tonight both comped. MGM was one of my options but I actually prefer Grand Pequot. I got there Sat. night and played til around ten a.m. Sunday. I then went to the spa at Pequot after pre registering to chill because check in isn't til 5 so I was kind of dreading just hanging out all day waiting.

I ended up getting really lucky and met a guy who was a pretty big player at the pool. We chatted for a half hour and as he was getting ready to leave I just threw it out there and asked him if he had any connections at the front desk for an early check in for me. He took my cell number and said let me see what I can do. Ten minutes later he texts me and says I should be all set with in the hour. 5 minutes after that my phone rings and it was the front desk. I was so pumped.

I did call. Nothing available even though online says different

Also, I have never had a problem checking in as early as 1pm.

It's not that they don't have any rooms available, it's that they don't have any *comped* rooms available.

Foxwoods basically does that if you average out all their non daily tourneys. Their yearly schedule is pretty awesome compared to MS. They run 4 mega challenges and 7 holiday weekends along with FPC, WPF and spring into summer mega madness (what the hell is that btw?).
