I think I know what happened.

That charge is for a $69 room. Add $7.50 resort fee, then tax, and it's $86.45. Do you normally get $69 for mid-week at MGM?

A little known fact: If you book 2 nights with your offers, but only 1 night is available as a promo (meaning the other night is not free), it will still let you book it. It does have that $69 ($86.45) price stated when you book, however you might not have noticed, making the assumption that since it didn't give you an error (as it would if no promo rooms were available), then it processed as expected (free).

Anyone play the daily $80 8pm turbo on a regular basis? What's the avg number of players that sign up for this tournament on weekdays and weekends?

FWIW it has nothing to do with MGM. That would've happened at any of the hotels if they only had a promo room for 1 night but not both.

And yeah, you're probably ****ed, since the price was listed before you confirmed, and is in the confirmation they emailed you.

the only problem is before when i booked free rooms they always showed a price even though the rooms were comped at any of the hotels peqout cedar before they fixed it to show 0.00 now

It hasn't been that way in a long time. Now if you see a price then something is wrong.

It can't hurt to call your host and see if she can fix it. But I don't think you have any recourse.

wow. We we're talking about what happens if it hits twice fast. Anybody know how that works? i.e. when it hits it starts at 85k instead of 0 and now the same for after it hits twice quick starting at 45k?

Played it once on the weekend and it was around 60 players. It's been about the same number all the other times I played the 6pm on weekends and seen it. Haven't played/seen it durning the weekdays.

I have not found anything decent in the immediate area. You probably won't find a good place within 30 minutes.
But if anybody knows of any hotspots I don't know about, I'd love to heat about it!

Great little place in Mystic called " Somewhere in Time" Only opens for Breakfast and lunch. Quickest way is back roads. At the 4 way intersection where 2 trees is, coming from the casino take a right, up to the firehouse take a left onto Lantern hill rd. Follow that thru a couple of stop signs for about 5 miles ( guess) until you hit Rt 184. At 184 make a right and restaurant is located about 1/2 mile up on the left next to a Karate Studio. Its actually no more then 15 min to get to . Great Omelets, French toast and pancakes amongst other things.

Theres also a place about 5 min from Mohegan called Parke's Place. I've been there a couple of times and it's good. If you were leaving Mohegan and going to FW you would need to go over the bridge and take a left. Well instead of taking that left you would go right. Its a little white building with a dirt parking lot up on the left. Maybe 1/2 a mile.

If your really desperate, right off exit 90 is Equinox. It's a 24 hr diner.

Just to add to that last post. During the fall Clyde's Cider mill is a place you should stop at just to get a cup of Hot Cider and a donut. Its about 1 mile from "Somewhere in time." I highly recommend that place as well.

Same directions from FW as Somewhere in time. Except when you get to 184 you will make a left and then your first right. Clyde's is on the right hand side.

Typically, BBJ don't reflect all of the money they have collected. Several places pay out 60% of what is the total amount.

The advantages to Foxwoods is that the BBJ always has something meaningful in it to draw the fish and they have an interest free loan from the players to do with what they want.

Right. The new jackpot is always roughly 1/3 of the one that just hit. The backup is about 1/2 of the main, but when it becomes the new main, they leave 1/3 of it behind to maintain a backup. Example:

Main jackpot: $300k
Backup jackpot: $150k
Jackpot hits
New Main jackpot: $100k
New Backup jackpot: $50k

Current weather report from anyone who's in the area? I'm heading down in about an hour hoping to beat the storm, but dopplar radar shows it's already snowing. How light is it?

5 min from there between 1 and 2 inches as of 1:30 and it's coming down good. Suppose to get about 1 ft.
