Hi all, I might come over to Foxwoods late night tonight, around 10pm. I like to play 5/10 and 10/20 limit holdem. Do those games have a shot at lasting through until the morning or do they tend to break up around 2 or 3am?

Thanks for any info you can pitch me and happy new year!

I got there around 3 today stayed at table 62(which was a new game started shortly after I got there) for about 3 hours. There wasn't a lot of action and a couple guys were complaining about it. Made 140 bux and went to Hard Rock and didn't feel like waiting after so I took off around 8. I was wearing green sox hat.

It was pretty busy when I left. The 80 dollar turbo was just starting and I almost played but didn't feel like driving home 1.5 hours tired and wasn't about to pay for a room. It was like a fashion show upstairs. Place was really crowded. Would have been nice to have a room and hang out and have a few drinks but oh well.

There was a lot of tables going. As soon as I walked in the stud bad beat got hit for 11k. Royal vs. 4 deuces. BBJ for holdem was 132k when I left.

But we should also be raising our kill more liberally than they will so I think we won't get the freeroll as often as they will. I'm not sure what the right answer is but I don't like to do it.

Good luck and post a TR in small stakes.
Yeah raising your own kill maybe some of the best odds in the poker room. Still if you get cold called be ready to see QQ or better.

at this old casino the dealer would count your chips and leave a note stating how much you left ... if you say told them you were going to get dinner
Whenever I play live (including FW), I always pick up my $100 bills and big chips when I leave and clearly announce the amount and my intention to the table. I usually place it in front of my stack so it's easily countable and declare, "I am picking up X in cash and Y in chips and will put them back into my stack when I get back." I've never had an issue whatsoever doing it.

Was there yesterday 01/01 from 10 AM - 7PM. I put name on list for 4/8 and 5/10. 5/10 didn't go until after I was nicely tucked in at my 4/8 table, about noonish. Stayed at the 4/8 the whole time, left up $109. Place was dead until the afternoon, then it was just quiet. Only a few 4/8 tables, one table broke and the folks moved to our table. There was one 5/10 table. Upstairs was packed when I left at 7.

I don't think I will be going until Wednesday night. Wish I lived closer.

It's kind of annoying tbh.

I agree. I love going and playing at Foxwoods...the room is excellent! It is just so difficult having the 3.5 hours of driving added to each trip, which is why I basically only go when I have a cheap room.
I just can't wait for Beacon Hill to get it's act together and give us some casinos in MA, it would be great for poker in New England if we had three solid poker room up here!

Anyways I will also be going down Wednesday night and will probably be there until Friday night. I'll be looking for a good 2/5 table! If anyone wants to help get a PLO table going at anytime then, post here when you can play.

Looks like the issue will be revisted this year. Whether it passes or not is a different story. http://www.enterprisenews.com/busine...battle-in-2011

So who is [Poker/Actor's name removed] girlfriend? Would it be an insult to ask her to stop bouncing ... I mean sprinting ... back & forth in the room? VERY distracting...

Yes but it has been on the verge forever. The way things work in MA, it will take a miracle to get it done right.
This would be a disaster for Foxwoods imo. From numbers I have heard (not seen) show that Foxwoods and Mohegan players are comprised heavily of MA residents, many of which would be lost to the new MA casinos if they ever come along.

It was farther along last year than it's ever been and I am hoping the article is correct in saying a new proposal will be in by March. Would love to see one or two in MA.

True, we can only hope.

They still have a bunch of obstacles to overcome, and last I heard, they are aiming for a crappy location in Fall River now, which is even less convenient for me than FW.
Not sure what I would prefer, a fake indian tribe run casino or a corporate run casino.

I really don't think it will ever happen in Mass anytime soon.

And even if it did it would dillute the action really badly.

Foxwoods would be the biggest indoor flea market in the world.

No that's def wrong it will happen.

When it failed last time its BC duval vetoed it because he doesn't want two of the proposed race tracks to have slots. The whole deal includes two.dog track's and three casinos. One in most likely fall river Boston and Amherst.

Its a BS veto IMO....but unfortunately legislature wouldn't meet again for another 6 months atleast. If it doesn't go through because of money hungry people wanting the slots at the two dog tracks....**** will hit the fan. Nvm the recession and what they bring to the table...but the endless promises people will flip. Ducal and legislature want it...its a matter of agreeing.

I for one think 3 is wayyyy took many. Foxwoods and mohegan will.feel the cramp....but they can also bid on them as well. I can only assume they want. It so they can get their hands on them.

Wow, it has been forever since I posted in this thread.

I will also be around tomorrow through Saturday, come see me at the 5/10 NL. I will be wearing one of my 5 Skynyrd hoodies, perhaps even my new one that looks exactly like my other 4, but has different logo colors!
