Not me. Whenever I sit at a 1/2 table, half the table is elderly with no more than $100 in front of them looking to nit their way into hitting the BBJ, or morons who just cannot lose no matter how bad they play.

I make good $$$$ playing 2/5, but I can't beat 1/2....And I'm done trying to figure it out.

Same here I hate/never play 1/2 IDK why I even did today its not poker its gambling IMO. . .usually stick with 5/10NL and up, 4/8LHE and up, and the higher stud mixed games. . .not as many donkaments at these tables solid poker players

I've mixed in low stakes limit during 2/5 and 5/10 NL, and it really takes the edge off when going to the bigger game. It helps you 3-bet more with better holding in the NL game because of the constant raising and re-raising in limit. It's very easy to get cute in the higher NL games when you're trying to "trap", but you can get trapped for your whole stack.

Thank you. Apparently if you play 4/8+LHE you cant play 2/5+L. I was unaware. People on these forums make no sense half the time and have a stick up their ass

Yo lefty it was good playing with you the other night. For those of you saying there is no money at 1/2 you just have to table select, as there are definitely nit tables but there are also tables you can make some serious cash in... oh lefty by the way, ended up being +1700 for the session haha

Yeah I agree with the above, in fact I would say 1/2 at Foxwoods is beatable almost constantly, and if you table select even moreso. I find very few times where a 1/2 table isn't profitable, and that's usually very late at night (2-7 AM) when you get into a table of people who are just playing uber tight and folding everything else.

5/10 is very soft at Foxwoods, I played this entire week and didn't run all that good, still ended in the black by quite a bit.

Hey guys, first post. Played 2-5NL for about 7 hrs yesterday. Started a 2-5PLO list, and it never got more than 3 names on it. How often does 2-5 or 5-5 PLO HI run?

Never.. literally lol. I would play though when I'm down there, but usually the only omaha game that runs is the h/l 1/2 game

Last time I was at FW they started a 1/2 mixed (NLH, PLO) is this standard? And is the game any good?

That's known as HA (I don't know how 'A' represents PLO), and it's pretty rare.

WOW, I had to register and post just to tell a quick story about this guy (I actually have a few..) And I've been meaning to join anyways.

I'm somewhat of a regular @ $1-2, anyone else whose a regular down there would probably recognize me, anyways..


THAT dude is beyond annoying. He never leaves me alone, and goes on and on about this $1100 pot I stacked one night when I coolered a guy set over set. Everytime I'm there lately I do my best to avoid him.

The real story is this though:

Last weekend, maybe the weekend before, I ran into him again, and he wouldnt shut up about the hand of course, and he was playing $1-2 at a table right behind me. Also at the table, was a well known maniacal player. A large gentlemen from Belize who drinks alot of chevas regal and has somewhat of a disregard for money. The guy is pure action, and usually loses alot but occasionally stacks up because of his volatile nature.

So I overhear Dolphins/Satan boy yelling, and I look and he's standing up, yelling at Belize maniac ," Are you serious bro, what the **** bro, are you ****in serious bro! Meet me outside bro, come on meet me outside bro!"

Anyone who knows these two characters knows that Dolphins wouldve gotten rocked by the maniac, as the maniac is a big dude who most people wouldnt **** with.

So nothing happened that I could see..and I forgot about it mostly and kept grinding. And then about an hour later, who do I see with a hugh black eye like he got lumped hard as hell...thats right, Mr. Dolphins/Satan boy.

So I don't know for sure if the maniac took him up on his offer and lumped him up..but the evidence suggests so. Either way, somebody rocked him, I can pretty much guarentee you he didnt learn his lesson.

So many characters down there, it's hillarious. I'll post a full version of "the hand" that he never shuts up about another time.

ya, i've started noticing this Satanic Dolphin dude more and more within the last 3 months. From what he has told me, he is unemployed hence why he is there so often. I do not like being around him at all, just sick of hearing about everything negative. I mean seriously, i don't go to the woods and chat peoples ears off about pancakes and whether or not they are superior to waffles, i just keep my opinions to myself...
