Apologies if it's been answered, but anyone got any idea how many entries they're expecting for the Aug 17th $340 Mega? Thanks in advance.

I think this post will be of most help:

Has anyone here ever tried the $80 single table satellites for the $340 Mega, or has everyone here just always bought directly in?

I believe that anyone who isnt bank rolled for the 340 in the first place shouldn't be playing in it, there will be so many people there playing for ****s and giggles I would rather just play a SNG instead of a satty.

On the other hand if you win big then it is very much worth it haha.

tourney has so much value because people have no clue how to play deep stack poker...if you catch cards at such a bad table = GOLD..I had one in the past two deep stack weeks but couldn't get the cards to capitalize on the soft/lol bad play

Foxwoods has started work in the Rainmaker casino above the poker room to create a permanent poker tournament and also slot tournament area. This will be great having the tournaments so much closer to the poker room. Looks like the rumors of the Rainmaker closing were wrong.

Damn, I don't wanna walk five minutes

All this talk of the game is getting me hyped up for it. You know what that means: It's gonna end up very anti-climactic when I get knocked out the first round, and I won't be able to do anything about cancelling my room since it's 24 hour notice. Thanks a lot Foxwoods

Rainmaker makes more then MGM. Just the volume of players in the Bac section warrant keeping it open. The only chance is has on closing down is Mass. starting up.

I'm not 100% sure this is true. I think you can cancel inside 24 hours if you do it in person, but definitely don't hold me to that.

Well the rumor was that if Mass opens and FW volume plummets, Rainmaker would be the 1st casino to close if they went that route, and they would expand gaming in MGM. So the bac and paigow sections would still exist, just moved.

Floor! Security!

Thursday Night 1/2 NL
On the river my opponent goes All-In for $200. I had a set of eights, but there was a possible straight on the turn, and a possible flush on the river. I took a long time trying to decide what to do. He started talking to me a little bit, and he said something like, "I'll show, if you show."

As we turned our cards over at the same time, I said "Nice hand". But then I noticed he had two pair, and I said "I call", and I pushed $200 forward.

All hell broke loose, everyone at the table was yelling. The floor came over with a floor supervisor. One security guard was telling the people watching the mayhem to back-up and go back to their tables, the other guard was telling me and the other people seated to shut-up.

Floors Ruling:
1. Why was my opponent talking during the hand?
2. Why did my opponent expose his cards?
3. The action had not been completed, and it was my turn to act.

The $750 pot was pushed to me.
