Anyone know if Foxwoods keeps my hourly data through the point system, and if it's available if I wanted to look through it? Poker Room Manager? Dream Point booth? Anyone ever do this?

I haven't been keeping specific times for some of my sessions and it would help me go through some analysis.

^ They only keep track of Dream Points, I don't see why they'd do anything more than that.

Yesterday morning I tried to start an interest list for a 10/20 HORSE game (it ran last tuesday and I was hoping the same players would be in again, we are tring to get it going every tuesday)

But I was told "NO" !!!!!!!!

It seems last week while I was playing in the 10/20 HORSE game, the 10/20 LHE game broke.... And some how the players and/or management thinks it was because the games are the same????? And they should not run both of them at the same time ???? I understand that "we the players" would not want to break one game for another.

But I feel they are two completely different game and have two completely different players pools !!!!!

What do you guys think? Should this ever be a problem ?

ps. we did get a game going later on last night around 8ish different floor people helped us with this.... We played 10/20 with a half kill just because we did not any problems..... Game was still running when I left at 230am
Not enough exclamation points or question marks IMO.

I guess if I could just get a break-down report of Dream Points earned per day, I can figure out the number of hours for each session since I usually stick to poker.

The poker room supervisor can give you this info. It is only hours and number of days played. They do it to track you for the Black Card.

They had a list for 10/20 HORSE this past monday. Maybe the floor person you encountered was being difficult. Every time I'm their they usually try to get a mix game going. Fish who?

doomage for Foxwoods now that mass is going to legalize casinos

Not necessarily. If they're primarily intended to be revenue generators, there's a good chance the poker rooms will be pathetic or even non-existent. Poker rooms don't generate as much revenue per square foot as slots and other table games.

But a lot of the table game and slot business will be staying in Mass instead, which is where most of Foxwoods' revenue comes from. Hence the "doomage". This is going to kill FW and MS.

I see. But as a poker player I don't give a damn about how much revenue FW or MS make, I just care about how good the poker rooms are. I doubt the new MA casinos are going to be much competition in that particular area. Now, if one pops up in Milford as is being rumored, I might make a few trips because it'll be closer to me, but not if it's terrible.

Well ok, you're right in that a good chunk of the poker room's business won't disappear (like when MS re-opened)... assuming the MA casinos don't have sizeable poker rooms. But there will be a lot of indirect effects. With much less traffic and revenue, some restaurants will no doubt close, I wouldn't be surprised if 1 of the hotels closed, comps could change (better or worse, dunno). That might not effect you at all, if you play strictly poker, never stay over, and only eat at Fifth Street, but you'd be in the minority.

Here's to hoping the Mass casinos have poker and that the rooms are awesome

Chances that all happens? idk

I might go this week with friends.

I have a couple questions.

Is there parking? (and how much does it cost)

Is there any free food?

One friend said you get free drinks? He said he got free drinks when he was playing blackjack? does this still apply to poker room?

oh and what days are good besides Sat? (sund and Friday?)

and when are you supposed to tip dealers?

thats it. thanks.

Parking is free. There are several garages and an open lot. There's free valet parking as well, though you're expected to tip. For poker room, park in the Rainmaker Garage or the open J lot.

Food is not free, though you can apply any accumulated Dream Card points towards it. There are multiple restaurants of varying prices and style. There is a sit-down eatery adjacent to the poker room (Fith Street Cafe) that has some decent choices.

Drinks are free if you're playing. I also often see friends/observers get drinks as well. A tip is generally expected ($1 is standard).

For poker, any day really, though weekends are busier and best (Fri-Sun).

Tipping is a touchy subject around here, and I won't even give my personal opinion. I will say that the majority of people tip $1 on most poker hands they win. This is entirely up to you. Just follow the flow of the table if you're unsure.

thats it. thanks.

If Steve Wynn is one of the casino operators, count on poker. He developed Mirage, Bellagio, and Wynn. He just backed out of the Philly casino a week ago (originally a Foxwood's project) where he planned on a poker room. He has lobbyists in Mass. I'm hoping Wynn gets a license. What could be better than having a Wynn casino in Massachusetts?

Even if casinos are built in Mass, chances are Foxwoods will still be the one closest to me and lots of other people, depending on where they're built. I doubt FW and MS will see too huge a change in business. They got like 2-3 years before they have to start worrying about that.

If they build a Resort style casino at Suffok Downs(very close to Logan Airport in Boston) then Foxwoods might as well close down imo.

If they put it in Middleboro, Western Mass or both for that matter it won't be that big of a deal for Connecticut.

Yeah, location is everything. Put the casino near big cities like Boston or Worcester, and Foxwoods will lose a LOT of customers.

I think it depends on how big it is and what they offer. Twin River in RI is closer than Foxwoods, but, it is not as large and OFC does not have poker.

what they are proposing now is only video slots at racetracks. no poker talk
what is popping up everywhere is charity poker and EPT leagues.

casino casinos are years off at the very least
