Was anyone from CT able to get onto to either Fanduel or DK and make a bet? Soft opening was today but supposedly the sites can only have 750 total bettors a day and there’s only certain times they can bet. It’s suppose to officially go live on the 19th.

I got an email invite today but had trouble accessing and verifying account. I didn’t try too hard but 5-10 minutes of struggle and I gave up.

Mold? The whole place got renovated a few years ago, with lots of construction going on. I find that hard to believe. More likely either the lack of demand is keeping the place closed, or maybe a lack of labor to keep it open.

Is anyone at FW today? Thinking about driving down from MA and want to make sure that there aren’t any road closures or other issues.

So who's going to be the first to go to Smash Avenue in the Tanger? Its next to Johnny Rockets, which if memory serves me right was the place where they had the escape rooms. They should advertise in the poker room as a place to go and blow off steam after a bad beat!

What beer is the “stony creek”. When ordered?

It’s one of the best beers I’ve ever had. Trying to figure which stony creek beer it is

Thanks.

It's an IPA they make exclusively for FW. It's just known as the Foxwoods IPA. It's 6.2% if you're curious.

Ah

That’s really interesting since I usually hate IPA’s. I thought it was like an amber ale

6.2. Nice

Thank you!

Just now noticing free rooms galore on the calendar for Great Cedar. I have never stayed in this hotel (usually Pequot or Fox Tower). After reading horrible reviews on Yelp (filthy, outdated rooms, bedbugs, etc...)....does anyone have any opinions of this hotel? Thanks in advance.

Stony is ok but I wished they keep Bluepoint Toasted Lager. Incredibly smooth beer and it's a local (Long Island) brewery.

Great Cedar is ok. Fox is newest so fanciest. Pequot has the best gym. But Cedar is closest to the poker room and parking (well now with new room you can park near handicap/RV area). I don't stay in the room except to sleep so as long as it's clean, I'm good. Pequot's gym has been shutdown so for me, parking near the poker room is the main reason I would stay at Cedar.

After staying at other hotels, I appreciate the refrigerator that all Foxwoods hotels provide. My current problem with Foxwoods is everything is still on shutdown. I stayed last month and there was basically nothing to do or even to get food late night. Regina's Pizza gets old real fast.

Thanks very much. I booked 2 stays for early next year. Proximity to the poker room is def. a pro. I stayed at Pequot a few times over the last few months (Sun-Wed). I agree that it felt like a ghost town, except for the poker. If not for CPK I would've had to drive for a decent meal.
