Is the plexiglass still up?
And what's the mask policy now?
Not that I disagreed with the measures, just prefer to play without.

Plexi has been down for about a month (in the poker room at least, unsure about table games and slots) but I have been in to see mask policy. I believe I've read that they are now optional for fully vaccinated players, but I can't personally confirm.

Anybody heard any rumors as to when the hotels will fully open?

Great. Thanks.
Haven't played in over a year. Those NH clubs aren't to my taste.
Probably be coming down from Mass Monday or Tuesday then.

I was there yesterday, and saw less than half a dozen players wearing a mask. I think all dealers and floors were wearing masks.

All employees at the moment in the casino must mask up. But ya, it's the wild west now. Basically be vaccinated or inevitably get covid.

I'm fully vaccinated, but I wouldn't mind that much to continue wearing a mask if it makes other people more comfortable. I wouldn't even consider coming down to play if I wasn't fully vaccinated.

They are having hiring issues, that is why the can’t open more. I’ve been trying to book rooms in July and have been striking out.

Any news from regs about MTTs returning this summer? I guess the rumors about July were overstated.

Wondering the same thing, after having heard the same rumor. Any insight greatly appreciated.

They are running their "Players Championship" Sunday July 11. One would guess that's a dry run and a prep for something soon.

any word on when they're gonna keep the room going past 12:15am?

Do doors open at 9 or cards in the air at 9? How early does one need to arrive to get a seat at the first table for something that runs daily like 1-2 or 4-8 LHE?

People start lining up at 8, the open the doors and start seating around 830.

Any thoughts on when they might return to 24 hour operation?

When they figure out how to deal with the union. Pure guess is that both sides are waiting for the other to blink. As poker isn't a huge money maker for the casino, my guess is that the casino holds out longer. No idea if the dealers go elsewhere or just move to different careers.

This may affect 24hr operation, tournaments, series events, etc.

The desire of the player pool seems the least relevant factor in the decision making. Not just here either. There is zero tournament poker in the area and until someone steps up and meets that demand, my guess is that nobody will be in a hurry. I think the same logic applies to 24hr operation.

I'm out of the loop here: What union issue?

My guess is management wants to treat it like a new room and hire people on the lowest pay scale with no benefits. They’ve already done that with non union positions in other departments. The whole covid situation was a perfect way for them to cut long standing employees. They would love to hire a majority of people and not provide them benefits. Dealers are under the protection of the union, but floors snd managers are not. It may be cheaper for the tribe to close the room overnight as opposed to hiring people back

But there's demand. Jesus. The room in Manchester NH is routinely drawing 130 players for a Tuesday night $50/50/50 bingofest. And 30-40 of those are alternates. Seriously, this tournment has about two hours of decent play, and they have 20 people sitting there after level 6, still waiting for a stack. Tournament players are starving!

We are finding out that we are not valued patrons.
