Really? I remember the first time I went there in July 2008. I had heard about “The Wonder Of It All” and I think it was the largest poker room at the time, and the first words out of my mouth were, “this place is a dump”

All I can say is that I played a bunch when the room was upstairs and not so much once it was relegated to the basement. Sure there were other factors, but I always thought the new location sucked and think it's a good thing that it's moving back to civilization.

Back in those days, all the players were excited to be going into the dungeon...how the times have changed.

I think Commerce was always larger than Foxwoods.

The Atrium bar is WAY too loud. They will have to fix that somehow. Also what are they going to do about the cage? Poker has had a dedicated cage since 2006. Now the old ladies cashing checks and slot vouchers are going to be there.

I would imagine that Foxwoods will be constructing some walls and the necessary infrastructure to run an efficient poker room. Or did I just give them too much credit? Damn, I think I did.

I would also imagine the ladies of the night will see an uptick in business with the poker room moving closer.

Anyone else get this.... I was offered free 3 nights in one of several properties in Vegas from Foxwoods. Planet Hollywood, Rio, Linq, Paris and a few others.

What’s the reason behind this... anyone know?

Isn’t that the platinum benefit?

I got some offer like that and I’m the lowest tier

I’m not understanding what the question is. As far as my offer goes, I get three free nights and a $100 resort credit. No strings attached. It states everything right there in the email.
Do you guys think it’s a scam? It was advertised at the Platinum Party so I doubt FW would have it on the big screen if it wasn’t legit

It's a deal they have worked out with Caesars. Seems pretty straightforward to me. Every period they seem to do something different. A year ago it was an NCL cruise, last period it was an Atlantis trip, etc. I'm not talking about the certificate giveaway they do 1-2x/yr, but a separate one specifically for tier.

I got the nights not the resort credit...

I'm still wondering thou, What's in it for Foxwoods???

This just seems like a weird offer.

But I'm going to check it out. Flights are cheap to Vegas.

They've been doing semi-annual cruise giveaways for 10+ years (as do many casinos), stuff like this is nothing new, they've just started to vary the type of vacation is all. This particular one is useless for me, I get better deals directly from Caesars.

Keep in mind it's still going to cost you ~40/night. Unlike Foxwoods, resort fee+tax isn't comped on a comp room out there (unless you are Caesars Diamond or above).

Wouldn't the resort credit help towards the fees you forced to pay at one of these properties? Or is that completely different?

I'm not sure. If I remember, the email fine print explained what the resort credit could be used on.

I blame Puck. He orchestrated this to take the attention away from his eviction.
