I go to buffets where the ladies make it rain. It's quite pricey and the food is not good. Is that the kind of buffet they got going in?

Hey, time will tell. It is fairly ridiculous however for someone to drive nearly two hours while having to pay good money for a room rather than drive 15 minutes with comp rooms on a reg basis but if they say they will do so who am I to argue with them.

The entire 5/10NL base has already spread with most at TR, with a few sprinkled at Mohegan, FW PLO, and Chasers. The are mostly regging at TR and Mo while Chasers has had an influx of people coming and going depending on the week but still from that base. There is no more deflection here as the games doesn't even run anymore. I counted 8 FW regs at Chasers the other day in the two PLO games and the two 5/10 that were running. Maybe the 1/2 and 2/5 are all the locals there but are 1/2 players in CT really going to drive 2 hours more to drive to Boston? I don't see that at all except on rare occasion maybe. I'm not referring to a weekend warrior type.....only the 4-5x a week player. Lookin around that room on a Wednesday I only saw two of these regs who I know will be doing so and one of them is good riddance as he's a killer.

My wife, who is glutten-free, rec'd a questionaire from Foxwoods a couple of years ago. They specifically asked about the buffet experience. She responded that it would be nice if the gluten-free foods were labeled.


She rec'd an email from one of the chefs stating that they were going to implement that idea IMMEDIATELY.

It's been 2+ years and still hasn't happened.

Ummmm... We weren't talking about Connecticut people driving to Boston but Boston/Mass area people who now play at Foxwoods staying in Boston to play at Encore. Almost 50% of Foxwoods customers are from Mass. Let the miserable local point chasing-lounge eating nit regs stay at Foxwoods and battle it out among themselves for limped pots all day unless someone wakes up with A-A or K-K which will induce a whopping $6 preflop raise to which everyone else will fold.

Lets face it the nitty boring small pot games at Foxwoods are only destined to get worse when Encore sucks the rest of the life out of the Foxwoods room.

Whats going to hurt Foxwoods is not CT people driving to Boston but Mass People who in the past have gone to Foxwoods going to Encore instead... get it?

I hope so. It'll be a great balance to all the kiddie rides they've been putting in lately. And still a possible improvement on the festival buffet food quality.

I got like all of oct-nov in the tower and two trees after playing one night. Then they skipped Dec and gave me Jan at Two Trees only. Maybe because I never booked and abused points a couple times?

You might still get Feb rooms. They don't all come out the same day. For example, I got mine last Friday.

Don't get me wrong. Enjoyed the hell out of reading it.

That number is extremely high in December 2018 for the reasons I layed out above at least in the poker room. The room now is littered with locals at every game with exception of Saturdays, HH promos and a tourney series. My 2/5 game last night was two NY, one RI reg who smokes a certain unlit apparatus and the rest locals which isn't far from the norm on your typical weekday.

You're missing the point that those MA players are no longer there. The games and the player pool has already changed.

Is it possible that you are wrong? Do you even search inside yourself to question whether perhaps you don’t know all?
I know, off the top of my head, 10 players from Boston who are “regs” who will not be traveling to Foxwoods once Encore opens. I also know several Rhode Islanders who plan on making Encore their main casino. I also know several Connecticut players who plan on making the hike at least some of the time.
I don’t pretend to know all so I know there are likely way more that I don’t know.

It’s a $120 $15k guarantee. I don’t think there is ever an overlay.
I haven’t played it but a lot of players have told me it’s a good one.
The cash games are really good the hour before and after 8pm
