The new changes are confusing me too. Website shows I have reward & choice pts, but have only been able to collect my reward pts and not choice. I talked to the reward desk a couple times and they have no clue like usual.

I received the best offers that I have ever received from Foxwoods in the 8 years I’ve been playing there. Points, free bets and choice rewards every week plus giveaways, free buffets and rooms
I have no idea, as does no one else it seems, what they base their offers on

The fluid and undefined variable of "based on play."

They also changed downgraded the 2 guaranteed comp rooms sun-thurs for platinums to comp rooms or preferred rate based on play.

You probably played fewer sessions but with longer hours. A higher daily average will result in greater comps "based on play."

Yes, I generally only play on high hand days and play the full 12 hours

Thanks for clarifying. That explains the higher comps right there. Enjoy!!

IME, most other US rooms are 9-handed for PLO, and I think most of us who've played both would prefer 9-handed; but a lot of the reg's here would prefer to stick with 10, because that's what they're used to, and apparently also because they're terrified of the game getting "short" because people walk around (and the rules on this are not enforced).... I was told by a floor who I trust that 9 handed plo is leading the vote by a wide margin. There were some 10's, but I was told there are many more 9's at this point as they've been polling for a while now.

I've been pushing for them to do 9 for the past few months. Just a better game. More cards left in the deck to draw to, more hands seen, more room to sit. Also they get more rake since more games pop up and more hands are dealt so it's a no brainer for them too. 5/10 and higher plo is already 9 handed and the difference is night and day in terms of action.

And as you said, it's literally 9 handed everywhere else. I specifically brought up to mgmt that NH card rooms are really, really causing a dent in our game. We are down to 1 game a day on average (2 on Saturdays) while they have 3 - 4 often. Them being 9 handed and us being 10 is a glaring difference and I've actually talked to people who don't come here regularly because we are 10 handed.

Of course there are old regs who just don't know how much better 9 is because they have never played anywhere else. One of my good friends who is a an old fogey voted 10 and used the 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' argument. They just don't know. I myself didn't realize how much better 9 handed was until i started going to Vegas a couple times a year.

Foxwoods in general is going downhill fast and that isn't a secret. 9 handed plo certainly won't solve the mass exodous of players they are just starting to experience and will surely get worse with more casinos opening soon. But at this point anything that can make the games better should be welcome with opened arms.

truly pathetic
10 handed plo is awful
even 9 sucks
oh no the game is short so scary!
they should be ashamed of themselves.

Sad to hear about the CEO.

I received the email today offering rooms in August. I was only offered Two Trees, which doesn't surprise me considering it's August as well as the fact that I haven't been to FW in a month. Unfortunately, I checked every day and there weren't any free ones available. This was ~20 minutes after I received the email.

I noticed a change on the offers when I logged into the website. It mentioned a 15% per person occupancy tax. This language doesn't show on the June offers. Are they now charging a tax on the free rooms? I know it's always mentioned the tax when you click on a room, but now it's mentioned on the offer page.

That’s just standard verbiage. Not all offers were/are for free rooms but rather discounted.

I have noticed on my account there aren’t any Choice Rewards for July. The rewards points I know fluctuate but do Choice Rewards disappear altogether or is there just a delay updating them?

July choice showed up weeks ago. You must not be getting any. I know of people who don't get them.

Thank Lattimer. Odd but my rewards points, room offers, giveaways, etc have all been consistent this summer. I didn’t realize Foxwoods took away ones Choice rewards that I assumed was earned during their prior 6 month earning period. But nothing they do seems to make sense.

The amount is based on a rolling 3 month period just like your other offers. But I know of some people who get points but not choice, and some who get choice but no points. I have most of the comp system figured down to a T, but that part I haven't figured out a reason behind.
