I've already decided to let my Diamond card lapse. I'm done after March 31.

It feels as though they're trying to maximize profits in the short run (i.e., before Springfield and Boston casinos open).

i know the rake is now $5 max for 4-8 and no more jackpot but can't find anything on whether it's the same for the HH madness monday or they rake an extra $1 that day to fund the payouts, anyone know?

They take the $1, only while the HH is going on.

The more people that it makes it "not worth it" for, then the more worth it it is

I thought only those that lost the hand paid rake?

are they sending the mailers for the offers to us all at the same time?
as a lowly gold member ive received nothing yet for December.

I'm Diamond and haven't gotten any mailers about December. But all of my December rooms/points/shows/gifts are online. Except now for the choice offers there is never a need to wait for the mailer, everything shows up online before. I suspect the December choice offers will be for every Friday, because I have no point offer or substitute for any Friday next month (the same is true for the 2 November Fridays that have the choice offer).

Just the opposite; rake is paid by the winners.

But the losers pay the same, rake or no rake. The winners pay the rake.

understood.
just trying to be optimistic.
I understand the reality that a higher rake makes achievement of 1 big bet per hour more difficult.
if I'm raking a pot I'm happy I'm not complaining about the tax consequences of hitting powerball.

Two inquires- do reward points earned on your card expire at the end of the year or stay on permanently until you use them?

Also, has the 5/T NL been running at all lately? Most of the Foxwoods regs have been playing at twin a lot.

Thanks!

Rewards points will expire after 12 months of inactivity. Other than that they will stay on until you use them.

The 5-10nl has been running occasionally, maybe almost once a week. The TR 5-10nl (200min 1k max) runs like everyday.

Springfield is going to have a 20-table room and Wynn will be 2 hours away. Do you even understand what you're talking about? Any poker players who will play Wynn on any type of a regular basis have already left Foxwoods for Twin River.

But concerning just poker that view is incorrect. I'm not here to argue specifics but from a personal standpoint I'd rather play at Foxwoods than TR but will be moving my game to the Wynn in a couple of years. And I know others. Not everyone has jumped ship yet.

This statement couldn't be farther from the truth on all levels. I'm not sure if I have the time or strength to type all the reasons why it's an uneducated/uninformed statement so let me just say it's wrong wrong wrong!!! A classic case of not thinking before you type or thinking that because you think of something a certain way then so should everybody else

I'm a more casual player than most people who post here, but I'm in exactly the same boat. I hardly play anything except poker, but most of my friends with any interest in the casino dabble at poker along with playing blackjack, roulette, etc. We tried out Twin River, but didn't really like it all that much, and the logistics of going to RI aren't really much different than going to CT. Any time we go to a casino, we're already making a bit of a trip down from the Boston area, so it's trivial to keep driving a little longer to get to Foxwoods/Mohegan.

Needless to say, the incentives at the CT casinos aren't much of an enticement, especially after the recent changes. After the Wynn opens I doubt we'll ever come back to Foxwoods.

Dec. scratch card came today with offers every Friday. When I go its on a Monday or Tuesday, Haven't played on a Friday in years nor can go now so these offers are useless.
Just a Gold card member.

Yet you had time to mention how wrong this is multiple times.

RhodyGuy's statement applies to me. I'll still be driving from MA to play in CT. Just because it doesn't apply to you doesn't mean it doesn't apply to anyone.
