I just realized people can rbuy into the second round of a shootout tourney which starts later...what is the point of the shootout then if you can enter both rounds to qualify

A kid raised from UTG to 15 then when it got folded around he shook his head and said don't worry I had it, flashed KJ suited. He was completely serious that he thought this was a good raise. In a 9 way 15 preraise hand were i was the BB i had 22. Flop was k 6 2 rainbow. MP bets 50, button raises to 100, I call. MP calls. turn 3. MP bets out 200. button folds. I push for 100 more. He snap calls, I table 22. He says "i need a 9" and tables K9. I am still confused as to what was going on. I later had AA and some woman got it in for 220 with 88. Pretty much is all I am saying is foxwoods is still alive. I may have hit some cards but I made 920 in about 6 hours so keep the dream alive.

Henne
thats typical foxwoods and the types of players i love at my table...Ty for the free money

ya that trip report sounds like an average day at the woods lol...

It's almost unreal how little people care about $$, esp at the lower no-limit tables (1/2 + 2/5)

A request:

The daily growth of the BBJ should be a fair indicator of the volume of business being done by FW in the games that participate in the BBJ. The difference between weekend days and weekdays, and the trends from week to week may be interesting.

So, if you would, if you find yourself at FW, please write a note to yourself of what the jackpot is each day (they increase it just once a day) and report it here periodically so we can follow the trends.

Here is the start of it:

Oct. 1 $5000
Oct. 2 $9829 (+$4829)

Really? On the weekdays I've seen my share of nits and people who bring a bankroll to play solid poker.

I'm rolling out today for the first time during a weekend, I hope your report resonates with mine!

hows the sunday bounty been running these days? I was thinking of coming up tomorrow afternoon for that and some 120 SNGs. Been awhile since I've been to the Woods.

Put in a 12 hr sesh last night, 6pm - 6am after the work week. Decided after a few weeks back of playing 2/5, it was nothing like the games I had played in AC or Vegas. Every single person at the table knew each other's name.

Solution; get hammered at 1/2 and make a g.

Fun times.

Has anyone ever booked their "free room" offer online thru the "Events & Offers" section? Every time I do so, there's a fee for the room. Nothing is ever free, even though my offer is for two "free rooms".

For example, I just checked for November. Any date Mon-Thur! They all say $49.99. I just got the thing in the mail... is it even possible to actually get free rooms? Or do I have to actually call and not do it online?

It's been this way every damn month since I started getting the offers in the mail. Are they real or a mirage?

I've usually called when I get a "free room" offer, and I never receive a fee. I checked the receipt. Nothing. Maybe if you do it online there is? I wouldn't think so, but I never have done it online.

Any foxwoods limit players ever have any stories of playing with the reg with a black cowboy hat with sunglasses always crying about the rake and everything else

I no that there are players that are cheap nits but this guy was over the top complaining about every little thing I've never heard this type of attitude at all and then complaining to the shift manager about a fill...it was just sad

Would like to hear some other stories on how much of a whiner this guy is

just do it online they have to show a fee for whatever reasobn but i can assure you that you won't have a charge upon checkin/checkout as long as the person checking in is the person who is given the offer

I could be wrong because I go there a lot ... but I'm quite sure I have booked one or two of these at the "reduced" rate in the past, and I have been charged that rate. I'll have to fight it further this time, and I'll probably just call now to see what their official reply to me is.

Thanks.

EDIT: I just called, and they said the same thing you did ... They have to show a fee on the website (who knows why?), but the rooms are actually complimentary when you check in/out.

Now, I'm second-guessing whether I have, indeed, booked one or more rooms under these circumstances before. I thought I had, and been charged, but I guess not. I know for certain that I've ended up not going sometimes thru the summer because I just assumed everyone had already snatched up the free rooms, leaving me with the leftover "reduced rates" that I chose not to book. Now, I'm kind of annoyed that I didn't know this... or didn't think of questioning it!

I got two free nights two weeks ago and was very surprised that I didn't even have to leave my credit card unless I wanted incidentals.

My buddy who actually just started playing 1/2 NL there is getting offers for Mon-Thurs. nights complimentary and he has probably played a total of 10 hours there and does not gamble on the tables games at all. I was very surprised to hear this. They must be hurting to get people down there.

i got the 2 free nights rooom offers and have only been to FW 4 times this year, playing 4-8 LHE, so seems they are sending it to everyone. I called and booked 11/10-11, there is no charge, the email conf shows a $55 charge "for accounting purposes only" and there is a 50 point charge to your card if you cancel less than 24 hours in advance.
