action friday night at the cash tables was pretty nuts-i wanted to stay for the 600 on sat but had other plans-looks like they had a huge turnout-going to try to come down for the 500 on friday after i get back from a biz trip, overall tourney numbers are def down from previous years but the cash game still seem pretty active with 1-2 PLO/ 2-5PLO and then lots of selection at 2/5 NL

Why are the lists all super long and not only have they not opened any table under the arches but there are8 tables in the main area that are empty?

Anyone else feel like they are going to tear a hamstring trying to get up from one of the chairs? Wow they stick to the rug.

A floor told me that they ran out of dealers, because of the 3 fairly large tournaments running simultaneously during weekend prime time. Pretty pathetic excuse.

Don't ever doubt a floor when they tell you they ran out of dealers. The floor is correct

I'm not doubting it. It's just really pathetic that they didn't plan ahead. How many tournament series have they run? And that was just the 1/2 waitlist. I'm sure there were massive waitlists for other games as well.

Yes,I was on that list. It is ridiculous that, on a weekend, during tournament time, they are this short on dealers

How is it now?

thanks for your input guys

Hey! It's plo tourney day. Woohoo!

Should be a great day for the game of the future. Hoping for 100 runners (dreaming?) and some really good cash plo games into the night. Good luck everyone. Stop by an say hello, I should be in my PokerStars sweatshirt and U of Michigan T-shirt

Anyways, got a few questions about the structure of the tournament, as per usual at foxwoods, the military anagram SNAFU applies to their information

http://www.foxwoods.com/uploadedFile...2010-22-12.pdf

This structure sheet says tourney starts at 1:00 - day of tourney registration goes from 8am to 5pm, that would seem a long time to register after tourney starts. Unless there is the ability to buy back in until 5:00. Tournament format 10k in chips 40 minute level.

http://www.foxwoods.com/uploadedFile...e%206.7.12.pdf

This one says it starts at 1:00, 10k in chips 30 minute levels.

Anyone have a clue what is correct

That is correct. 1pm start, 10,000 in starting chips with 30 minute levels.

Registration is scheduled to be open for the first four levels of play.

Jay, I know you are very busy and I, for one, certainly appreciate all you do but I really miss the final table bust out hand recaps with photos. For those of us who play at FW regularly, it is nice to see updates on our friends.
Plus, I have it on fairly good authority that one of our own, from this thread, came in second in the $600!

I've got a restaurant question: any recommendations for the best place for lunch (i.e. open at 2:00 pm on a weekday?). From looking at the website it seems like all the steakhouses/italian places are closed. Are there any better places than CPK for a nice lunch? Not that I don't like CPK but I was hoping one of the fancier places was open for lunch. Thanks!

Cedars Steakhouse is far and away my favorite place to eat at Foxwoods.

You can get a good prime rib sandwich in the lounge (in the back)

Edit: it's decently fancy as well

I'm thinking about coming up for the $300 bounty tournament on Wednesday. Is this a two-day tournament? Thanks.

They did a poor job indicating it this time. You have to look at that tournament's structure sheet, and if it's a multi-day it will reference things like end of day and next day start time.
