Are you saying the 10-25 players are bad or the mix players are bad? I don't care either way just curious.

I am primarily a NL player and have been trying out the bigger mix games recently. I am admittedly not that great at the games and am doing ok. I think there probably is huge profit to be made, but the swings in these big mix games can be pretty huge and brutal. Also, obviously some line-up are way softer than others as in any other game.

Levels is actually the coolest song on the planet right now.

I was talking about some of the 10/25NL players to clarify.

Ppl are right about 1/2's win rate being low. The hours needed to move a roll from 4gs to 10gs by playing 1/2 can seem overwhelming to some. (Those are personally my roll requirements) although youll get halfway and start taking shots occasionally and hopefully short term variance is on your side to get your roll up to an amount in which you can sustain 2/5 properly. Of course the lure of megastack events and such drag you in costing you buy-ins that should be left padding your cash game roll.. sometimes it feels like a sucky grind to nowhere.. some tips: keep ACCURATE records of every session. You wont really even be able to tell if your a winning player at 1/2 until at least 700 hours.. thats only average 25k hands played. If youve ever grinded online micros then u know thats still not a big enough sample size. At 5bb/hr win rate average playin 100 hours a month in 6 months of grinding youll have the roll to move up. (Assuming you even started with 4k) Stay away from tournaments and hope your on the warm side of the coolers.
Some move up quicker then others, normally not because they play better, variance is real as much as many of us wish it was only a myth..

I should prob heed my own advice but that 500 6max next month looks soo inviting!

must move is infinitely better than the alternative which would be bum hunters begging to get on the soft table.

we have regs in the 10-20 game i play in that leave the main game and try to get into the second game if it's better. fish notice this and just roll their eyes. fortunately they have to wait 1 hour (wish it was longer) before getting back on the must move table.

Don't move up until you know you're ready, and def start by "taking a shot" imo
Agree with this 100 percent.

Honestly anybody that's rolled for 1/2 (at least 3k I guess) is probably better off just buying in for 40bb at a time at 2/5 and employing a super nitty short-stack strategy. Obviously your variance will be significantly higher but you'll pay 20% less rake and most people use way too wide a range when dealing with shorties so you'll get it in way good a ton.

They must have reversed course on this one. As I got a $100 gift card sitting in front of me. Sweet promo, I wish they did more like that.

Good luck everyone in the Megas. I probably will only play the $400 on Thursday but will be around most days playing something.

I heard a rumor that the WPT in November was being replaced by WSOPC. This would be awesome if true.

Yes. Buttons have already been replaced. You can also get a new players card. WowLucky is the only I saw that had a new one. Looks ok.

Hate the new button. Small, plain, white with "DEALER" etched into it

Should leave it as a WPT but make it a 3500 re-entry like Borgata and get 1000 players. Shrug.

I heard the first WSOP circuit event will be in April 2013. We shall see.

I got the new black card. It fascinates the dealers when they swipe it in.

lol it's a pretty simple plain black card with the new Foxwoods poker logo on the left side of it, reminded me of the plain boring players card that turning stone first had.

I was reading a story in brick and mortar about a guy being followed home from the casino but luckily he noticed the guy. Should this be a significant worry at Foxwoods/Mohegan? What are some good things you can do to help avoid this? valet? The thought had never really crossed my mind before however it seems like being careful can only be a good thing.
