Id go mgm, best beds imo, walk is 15 min. Tho you may get free access to the spa in Pequot if you are a guest there. Not so at mgm iirc. $25 per day may sway you.

You mentioned you wanted a fridge. MGM fridge is stocked full with sensored drinks and you won't be able to store anything in it. Pequot fridge is empty.

These two are the best imo.
Pequot = larger rooms, minifridge, closer walk
MGM = Newer, more trendy, nicer beds but thats a marginal difference.

I tend to stay at Pequot when its available over MGM but I know others who swear by MGM.

At MGM if there is a long check in line they have a check in kiosk that nobody ever uses and is quite easy right in the lobby.

I also did not see a safe in my rooms at MGM, not sure if I missed something.

Whats the story with comps at FW? I have been playing a couple 16 hour sessions a week at 2/5. What is the relative threshhold of play before i can get a floor to snag me a $15 food comp, or a comped room (i play on weekends, so those room comps via mail are never valid for me)

Should I always ask whenever I go down there? whats the likelihood that I get one?

You won't get either of those. Floor doesn't give out food comps, and you can only get free weekend rooms if you qualify for a Gold/Platinum/Diamond card. All you can get is the points you've been earning on your card (2 pts/hr for 2/5 I believe), and use those towards food, rooms, etc.

gross...

Also, what is with the games lately? Every night I go I am stuck at a table with 6 nitty passive regs, 2 really bad loose aggro regs, and someone like myron is who walking around the entire night.

have the fish died out as of late?

crappy economy impacting the games?

Maybe because we're finally getting some nice weather?

June was my best month of the year, but this month has been boring as hell. 4 sessions of +50, -50, +125, -75. Yawn.

I believe the number is 35 hours in a 7 day period to get a $10 food comp. Asking never hurts. You are much more likely to get a food comp than a room on FRI/SAT night. Start by asking for the room, work your way into a food comp.

Ok I fully expect to get flamed and/or laughed at but here goes...

I'm a 22 year old college kid who plays micro stakes online (read: broke.) I have ~400-500 available right now to play/eat/comfortably lose at the casino. I want to go to foxwoods and put in a couple marathon 1/2 sessions this weekend while my woman is out of town. Should I happen to run bad tonight or tomorrow, I would prefer not to buy a room, and sleep in my car for a few hours instead, so I have enough to keep playing on saturday (degen, I know.)

What is parking like and is sleeping in the car quasi-standard or something I should not plan on having as a fallback plan?

My plan: get there tonight, play until tomorrow early afternoon. Sleep (room if run good, car if run bad) for a while and then play again from late friday night probably through sunday morning. Then sleep some more and drive home.

Thoughts?

First of all good luck.

I wouldn't sleep in the car as a fallback plan. They patrol the self park lot and it would suck to be woken up and have to move. But I've never done it so YMMV. Also if you have a van that might work especially with tinted windows.

Try this site for walk-in coupons. If you need a room at least you might be able to save a few bucks.

so unlike 2 wednesdays ago there was only one 5/10 game running as opposed to three. i guess because of the tourney at mohegan? anyways it took a little while to get a seat but once i did all went well. game was pretty good and managed to make a few hands. i really need to start going alone, past few times i've gone i've done really well and only stayed from like 8pm-12 or 1am cause my friend wanted to leave. being a dealer must suck preeetty bad sometimes...saw a couple last night take some pretty serious abuse.

regulator: definitely a bit degen but sounds pretty standard to me if you are broke.

I can't speak for the self-park lots as Mr. Rick has, but I've slept in my car in the garage a few times with no problems (I'm 6'4" and drive a Civic, so I'm hardly hiding). But that might have to be your sleeping situation regardless of how you run... the chances of getting a room on a Friday are slim if you try that same day.

I have also napped in my car for a few hours in the garage without getting bothered. I'd be more worried about going Thursday to Sunday without showering..

OK.... DMW, I just might have to aggree with you

There has been more than a couple of days were the 10/20 or the 5/10 has not gone at all, over the last couple of weeks!!

On Saturday afternoon the 10/20 broke around 2ish but there were two 5/10 games playing... Tuesday night we had to play short most of the night ! Last night the game was short and broke bye 8

The only good new it we got a 10/20 HORSE that played til 11ish... then it changed to OE...

Today there was an interest list for 8/16 maybe that will take the place of the 5/10 kill and the 10/20 ?????

I guess, you guys will see me more on the NL tables....

The other thing is that you're unlikely to get a good rest sleeping in your car. That's OK if you are doing it for one night, but if you are doing two 24 hour sessions, you are more likely to spew off your BR the second round while you're exhausted.

I'd try Hotwire or Priceline and get a room for Friday. Even this late, you get get one in the general area for $60 or so. Considering that's going to be the size of a decent pot, it is a good investment.

Yup.. Sleeping in the car sucks I did it once there- I wasn't bothered and I highly doubt security would care at all (they realize if they don't let you sleep in your car, and you can't get a room for whatever reason - they're losing $$$). It's just really hard to get quality sleep being 6'3, sleeping in a small car in a well lit parking lot with loud people at all hours of the night.

Anyone have any info if there's a poker rate for the
upcoming Foxwoods Mega Stack in August? I'm planning
to play in the $340 tournament.
