I am pretty sure you can use the Cedar pool and gym for free if you are staying in any of the hotels. The Pequot is much nicer than Cedar and even though I have not used MGM yet I have heard it is nicest out of all of them.

I got into the MGM pool/spa for free another time but that is more of a brag on my part as I sweet talked the cute girl at the front desk into letting me in

I dunno. I was there this past Sunday and paid ten dollars for use of the gym/locker room. Pool is free but they still charged for locker room/gym. Once you get down there and use the pool and are not using a locker I can see it being pretty easy to sneak into the gym and locker room. I am pretty sure you are supposed to pay ten though. If you get a massage or something then you get all the amenities included.

Why do I have a feeling that no one itt has ever been awake for the 9am $60 Turbo ... lmao ... honestly if it wasn't for my situation getting up there at a reasonable time on Sunday I wouldn't be considering it one bit neither .. Assuming that many people don't attending the 9am Turbo, could this be in my favor to warm for my first live play? I honestly have no interest/exp. in MTTs but you guy think for $60 it might be a nice warm up to get a feel for live action for the first time?

Dude honestly I equate you playing that tourney with putting 80 bux on a blackjack table. You are either going to win or lose. Once the middle stages begin you are going to build a stack or lose a stack. It's not a big deal.

ive bubbled the FT 2x in a row there, playing solid for a few hours just to make standard shoves and losing both. very frustrating.

Played the $180 tonight, and had such a crazy session. Barely played. 1st hand I play, blinds are 100-200 I have AA in the SB and make it 700. I get 2 callers the BB and the Button. Flop comes 10c 3d 8c. I bet out 2100 SB folds, Button moves all in for 8k. Of course I call and he has what I thought he had Kc5c. Well didn't know his flush draw was that terrible, I assumed it would be at least KQ or J9, something giving him more outs. He hits the flush in the river of course. Hand I go out on. I am in middle position with blinds 400-800. I have 11k. I push all in with AJ and BB calls my all in without even thinking, so I assume I am dead, and he turns over Q8 off. Hits running 8's for trips. Back on 95 by 830.

A fellow 2/5er convinced me to go play drunken 1/2 with him. It was the best idea that I had heard in days. Downed 2 tequila shots, one beer and one kamikaze before being cut off by these bitchass food and beverage people. I was in no way drunk, just having fun. UGGH. So, as they were walking away from our table, a fellow 2/5er(diff from the one above) commented on one of the ladies ass, long story short, he and the guy who agreed with him were led out of the room by security. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. They dress these girls in hoochie outfits for the male viewing pleasure but dont you dare comment on what they are putting on display!
Won $550 in 2 hours of 1/2 so yeah, fun times.

Oh, okay! lol. He just mentioned people were doing shots (and he was too). Naja! That is fun (what you did), as I do it sometimes too but at like 2/4LHE. I did that in Vegas at the lower limits in March. I find it particularly fun if you've been having a downswing. While in terms of BRM, it's not "fiscally sound," but sometimes letting loose and buying in for $100-$200 at 2/4LHE can be a good stress reliever. : ) I know D.Negreanu was a big proponent of doing that before.

Come and get it! The 2/5 tables are filled with the worst players that I have seen in forever. Limping KK, AQ and then never folding no matter what the action is. Tell boxes. Insta calling shoves on rivers with top pair. Calling $50 pre with 86s with 40bb stacks. I could go on for days
