anyone else hate how they are having tourneys with the totally flat pay out structure? they say they are doing it because everyone likes to chop but wtf...let the players decide

i like being in the must move of the 10-20...much more room for profit...when you get into the main game the play tightens way up and no one just calls, it's usually raise or fold poker with a bunch of solid players...i played it yesterday too, did you fiveman? i had the blue polo shirt and the sox hat

I did ! I was at the main game from 8am til 1030 seat 4....when the regs got there I made my way over to the 5/10 kill and that was a good game, We played a round of straddles, even on the kill pots we put up a blind $20 and that was fun.....

I got reraised by K6o a few times. Now that's protecting your hand.

I agree, it was very fun fiveman, even though it got me stuck a couple bucks early in my session. It sucked having my only decent hand(10, 10) on my straddle of $20, and saw a flop of A, Q, 8, and the three seat firing at the pot. How about " scared money" one seat, worried if it would be a kill when it came to his straddle, and he ended up winning a big hand.

grr. I waited 5 hours to get in the 10/20 game and then the Krazy man left with all the money.

We need more posters. This thread can't all be about the remaining 27 people who play limit hold'em.

Well, Dead, I've played NL the past few times I went. Based on what I saw, I'm sure there's plenty of NL regulars who read this thread.

Seems ridiculous you would have a 5 hour wait for your game. Was no one leaving or was there a decent list but only one table?

I used to be a 10/20 limit regular about 2 years ago. I took a long break until a few weeks ago. Working and whatnot.

Back then the 10/20 was a usually a bit of a nitfest. I used to score a small profit there. Not enough loose money hitting the table. The 5/10 was even worse. I always hated that game. The poorer idiots played 2/4 or 4/8 and the better off played 10/20 or 20/40. None of them chose the 5/10.

I was there on Friday night playing 1/2NL. Pretty boring night. Most opponents were fairly tight and knowledgeable. Not what you're hoping for.

I was card dead the first couple of hours and lost $50 or so entering pots that went nowhere. Boosted up to $225 profit on the next table, mostly from good PF cards and hitting the flop. There was a ton of money hitting the table from a steamer but I couldn't get into any of the right hands. Three guys worked up $600+ stacks.

I took a break and considered heading home a little richer. Instead I hopped back on the table. I ended up dumping all my profits in two big hands. Easy come - easy go.

The first, I had AKs and got ATo all in on the turn w/ an A high flop. I could just tell he had a worse A and the hand went perfectly. Sadly, he hit that ten on the river. He left a few minutes later while I had a smoke. Bastard!

The second hand I was dumb and I got JJ all in preflop against QQ. I should have known the guy had it and laid it down but I was up past 24 hours at that point and still numb over losing the AK hand.

Ended up going home minus $25 for pizza and gas. Better luck next time

I was curious as to what the lowest plo limits are at foxwoods?

Do they run 1/2?

I'm a 5/10 regular. I love the game, you just have to change gears often.I wear either a Notre Dame Blue Shamrock hat, or a white Jet hat. I love Sunday night action, lots of drunks, and lots of stuck money chasing. Alas, I actually had to work today, and have a full week ahead, so I'll be jonesing a bit this week, but I'll be playing on table 30 as soon as I can. I'll ask around for you.

There is almost never a PLO game, but most likely the lowest they would spread would be 1/2, yes

damn.. this is disheartening to hear

do you think if I asked them to start a 1/2 PLO table they would? I have only been there a hand full of times so I am far from a regular.

Also I am relatively new to Omaha but I wanted to try it out this weekend, if PLO isn't an option do they spread Omaha Hi? I am too new to the game to play hi/low (without worrying about loosing my $ with the quickness).

Sorry for the completely ignorant question, but what website actually allows me to redeem my points for FW (it used to be wampumrewards.com)? Ive never bothered to redeem them to date after a loooong time of playing. Also, i believe i remember people saying that the gas cards are the best value back in the day.

a S&S is apparently better than them according to a couple posts in this thread. What is S&S? (Stop and shop?)

thanks in advance, and sorry for the newb question.

The new website is:

www.DreamRewardsGallery.com

Yes, S&S is Stop n Shop, and they are still a better value then gas cards.

If you want a PLO to start and keep going for the night; I would recommend playing a 5-5 PLO game. Many players in the room like myself don't want to play with 1-2 blinds.
