I just stayed at Two Trees for my first time. It's more than "across the street", but I found the shuttle to be very convenient. I was planning to drive when the shuttle bus pulled up right in front of me as I was walking along the sidewalk to my car, so I took it. The wait for the return trip wasn't much longer. The shuttle apparently just loops endlessly from the Two Trees to the Rainmaker Casino with no other stops. It was actually quicker than the walk to the MGM. The driver was also friendly, trying to lighten the mood, ala Disneyworld.

The Two Trees has the least nice rooms of all the Foxwoods hotels (which I would rate: 1. MGM 2. Grand Pequot 3. Great Cedar 4. Two Trees). The rooms are alright, but smaller and the bathroom appears older (and no refrigerator in the rooms - at least that I could find). Definitely works as a place to crash though.

Especially since there was no refrigerator in my room, I was surprised that they still charge for the bottled water in the rooms at Two Trees (2 free bottles seems to be a special at the other hotels now).

I've heard some of the older players rave about the food at the Two Trees Grill. I only had coffee and dessert. I wouldn't exactly rave about the dessert, but the coffee was the best I've had anywhere at Foxwoods.

Bellisimo Grande should be #4 and Two Trees a distant #5 imo.

It's all under the same number. If you put your dream card in a slot machine and leave it there and have to get a new one you are getting the exact same thing. If you have ten of them in your wallet you could use any one of them and it would be the same thing. A WPT card is just a dream card with different logo on it. Not really sure why the Stadium honors that. I think they are just trying to earn poker players business being a sports bar and all.

I only found out about it(the discount) because I got friendly with one of the bartenders. She was real cool. I had to mention it to other bartenders after that. And they were like oh ya that's right... Just be sure to tip them on original amount. Service is usually pretty good but the food is just average.

The rooms are fine and the restaurant isn't bad either.

Got two nights at MGM next week. Rooms are so much nicer there

I have started to realize that by booking farther in advance instead of last minute is your best bet. You can always cancel a day in advance. I just set a reminder on my phone.

Two trees isn't bad but I would much rather be at Great Cedar or Pequot. Cedar has the worst rooms but is best location for everything. MGM's rooms are so damn nice though it's worth the walk.

Edit: Just realized you were paying and this is for the weekend. How much they charge you per night?
I have to double check the rates, but it was something like $500-$600 total for Fri & Sat.

Yes that shuttle shows up every 10 mins or so, because it simply goes back and forth between those 2 locations. There's a separate shuttle that goes around to all 4 casinos. That one runs every 20 or 30 mins. It's outlined on some pamphlet in your Two Trees room.

It's motel-quality really. A bit more expensive than places down the street, but you don't have to drive and can use your points. It's up to you if that makes it worth it or not (vs places in N Stonington or Mystic).

The 2 free bottles in the other hotels aren't really free. They are part of the "amenities" you receive for paying the new mandatory resort fee ($7.50/nt). Two Trees doesn't have the resort fee, so the bottles cost. Before they started charging the fee, in-room bottled water had always cost in all hotels.

edit: also Two Trees has no internet/wifi in the rooms, only in the hotel lobby.

Well I left Boston at 8:30 a.m. got all the way to Providence to find out 95 South is shut down. If you are planning on a trip to Foxwoods anytime soon check up on that. We had to turn around and come home. Got stuck in a bit of traffic. Exit 15 Jefferson Blvd. in Providence is ten feet underwater. RV's submerged almost to the roof at a dealership right off the highway some were knocked over.... Pretty much a disaster area. Not sure how the ride home would be but I heard that parts of 295 North were shutdown too.

Not too big a deal for me just an inconvenience. Rhode Islanders are definitely in for a tough next few days...

If you were coming from Boston proper, or any point North or West of there, you should take 90 to 395. Smoother ride IMO.

I am 15 minutes south by Braintee/Quincy area so easier to go 128 to 95. Takes about 1 hour 20 minutes. Not today tho oh well...

I'm heading down Friday with the girlfriend and she has typically played slots while I play poker. I mentioned to her that they have a bingo hall and she was interested. My only question is, how long do the games last? I saw on the website there is a game Friday night at 6:30pm. Thanks

Guys, don't be a sucker and pay for bottled water in the room. You can easily go to the gym at MGM Grand and take a bunch from the fridge there. AFAIK, there's no restriction on that, and they're the same exact bottles. Also, if you are a good-looking male, you can get into the spa for free, too (didn't work for me, my friend had to pull that one off).

Who wants to hike all the way over to MGM to be told they are too ugly to get a water.

In LA banned for life usually means you get re-instated after about a month. Is that the way it works at Foxwoods?

They both might be able to write a letter in about 6 months to a year, Foxwoods could very well reinstate both of them.

Edit: Speaking of tearing cards, Foxwoods uses plastic cards correct? Anyone know the maker of the cards and the size?

Everytime i sit at the table i usually get into it with him becauase he thinks he is so good and he really sucks...One day he was calling me a drunk(mind u i don't drink and if i do its usually 1 or 2 nothing near what he thinks) He started talking so i challenged him to heads up and he goes 1k i lauhged and said buddy get 5k and I'll take every penny before the dealer who dealt me in a tourney the day before told him to stop(little baby got up until they switched dealers all fired up) was pretty lol

Also forgot to add he claimed he took $900 of me at this game before which is also pretty lol because according to me 100 percent accurate records i have never had a losing session that much or even close to that number
