If you need 100 dealers one day a month (let's say 10 in the early AM, 65 in the swing, and then 25 in the PM), while the other ~30 days you only need 40 (10, 10, 20) maybe it's not worth the labor cost just to increase your monthly profits by ~2%.

Even if you can make the math work for 100 and 40, there has to be some two numbers A and B to where it would not. And if B keeps going down, well, there ya go.

BTW, will they at least get any foot traffic in the new room? (Not that I care, in three weeks the woods of Connecticut will be a fond memory, unless the setup in Everett is completely sideways. )

Email I just got. Many here probably did as well but some likely did not.

Great news-you’re moving up! Upstairs to the newly-renovated Rainmaker Casino, that is.

As part of our Rainmaker Casino renovation, the Poker Room at Foxwoods is relocating. Beginning at 10AM on June 28, 2019, you’ll get to enjoy fresh new surroundings and a customized gaming space in the revamped Rainmaker Casino. The current Poker Room location will be closed on June 26 and 27, but scheduled poker tournaments (including daily tournaments and Sit & Go’s) will remain open and available for you to enjoy.

Have we mentioned that the new Poker Room is conveniently located near the brand-new Rainmaker Buffet? We have a feeling that our newest Wonder is going to become your new go-to for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! The place is huge, with a sleek, contemporary design. The all-new menu offers dishes prepared lightning-fast just for you. Plus cuisines from around the world and a seemingly-endless variety of freshly-prepared meats, pizza, soups, salads, seafood, and desserts.

We care about your opinion. Many of our recent changes have been implemented based on our guests’ feedback. To that end, we hope you’ll spend a few minutes taking this survey. We’re always striving to improve, and we’re eager to hear your suggestions for additional changes you’d like to see.

We love our Poker players and we’re confident that you’ll end up loving what we’re doing with the place. We’re proud to offer our Poker players a world-class gaming experience–and that will never change!

Sincerely,
Terry Chiaradio
Director of Poker Operations

The buffet can't be the go to place for a poker player to eat as that line on Saturday went all the way to Panera. Weird selling point.

Hi all,
Looking for information about the rake in Foxwoods and the rewards program in place (2$ per hour at 2-5NLH?)
Can someone let me know? Thx.

Rake is 5+1 (2 on the flop), comps are 1.7 per hour.

That's Rake and comps on all nlhe and plo and limit 10-20+. 2/4 and 4/8 have the same rake but comp .85/hr. I don't know the info on timed games.

And are they going to be that close or is the new room going to allow some space between them so chairs aren't slamming into the player behind you?

There was a discussion between my table, the dealer and 2 floors regarding the stupidity of closing for 2 days. They said their concerns were brought up and they were ignored

Naturally the decision came from some suit sitting behind a desk who has no clue about anything. Standard Foxwoods fare.

It is possible it came from the gaming commission? Or more broadly, that whatever regulating body there is in Connecticut has a procedure for this and the only way to comply is downtime? Suits may suck at knowing poker but they generally know that areas closed for gambling don't make any money.

Did Mohegan have down time? I don’t think so

Mohegan didn't have any downtime from poker operations. When they moved the room they had a temporary area with cards in the air. I agree with Lattimer in that this decision came from above Terry's seat.

Keep in mind the WSOP Circuit Events are Aug 15-26th so comp rooms may go quicker than normal.

I got August room offers and I don't recall getting summer offers last year. It's unfortunate because I don't think I can take advantage of it.
