The Tuesday following a Monday madness is always a great deal busier than a normal Tuesday but it has seemed to be getting slower than usual
I was speaking to a couple floor people and they said that Saturdays have been hit the hardest due to MGM

Anyone that didn't see a downsize coming with casinos popping up on every corner like 7Eleven's hasn't been paying attention.

My source, a security head, told me downstairs will be shut down early next year as they move the entire room back upstairs with 60 cash tables which is an elimination of over 30% which would only affect their once a month Monday promotion.

With all due respect to these floors they don't know what they are talking about. Friday and Saturdays have been hit the hardest due to Mohegan reinstating their $1k hourly HH on these nights.

MGM is full spread on the promo nights of Wed, Thurs, Fri and Sat. The affect on these days have been split equally between Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun based of Bravo numbers up until last month. There is no "everyone from Foxwoods goes to MGM on Saturday" phenomenon occurring.

I was told they are looking at a few options, and mixing them in the tournament area was not one of the options.

The are looking at reopening the space near the Hard Rock and putting poker there. Plus there is a talk about possibly moving it to the Grand Pequot (I think this one is unlikely).

This is basically what I was told as well. You must remember though that there are people, especially certain 2/5 Poker players at Foxwoods, who know absolutely everything and they have to make sure that everyone knows it

There are new signs up today announcing the reduced hours in Rainmaker casino. Slots, table games, and the Asian area are all different-not that I care. But what’s interesting is that Foxwoods felt the need to still list poker as open 24 hours.

I won't be there for a few days, any chance of a pic? I'm interested in what it says.

No picture. But I noticed other signs announcing reduced hours cutting through the Festival and Cedar casino. Wonder if this is a winter project or a response to competition.

Tough to say without knowing stack sizes, blind/ante level, etc. Also charge your phone.

Bianco had nearly 50% of the chips in play and I believe a 2.3-1 chip lead over closest competitor. He essentially agreed to take the 2nd place payout to chop. We don't know his motivations or bankroll but mathematically it was a very EV-

When seemingly nonsensical chops involving five people or more occur in these 600s it’s generally because there’s no pros and it’s all guys with work in the morning who just want to get home already. My (completely unverified and gut feeling) guess is Bianco is a guy who isn’t hurting for money and didn’t feel like holding the rest of the final table hostage for a possible but not guaranteed extra 10-20k even though he had all the negotiating power and probably would have gotten it.

I saw a 30/60 mixed game was running at FW over the weekend. Any idea how long that ran/what games were in it/if it might run again next weekend? I'm coming Sat or Sun to play 20/40 stud which seems to run pretty much all the time but I'd even more love to play mix.

I’m guessing 2-7 Triple Draw, Badugi and maybe Stud Hi-Lo. I know they play that at a higher game

There was no game, just an interest list for OE, they never play 30/60 badugi and triple draw, however, if you are interested in OE when you get there check to see if someone started a list if not do it, either 20/40 or 30/60. I will be there too.

On Bravo, FW advertises 30/60 HOE as the "featured game" on Mondays.

I'd happily play 20/40 OE or even just 20/40 stud8 on Sunday when I'll be there.

Fwiw there was a 30/60 mixed listed on Bravo over the weekend. Are you positive it never ran? Ie it was a glitch? And also I'd think if it were OE it would've said that, not generic mixed.

Lastly regarding the 30/60 featured game, I'm told it never runs. When last did it run? I think it's pretty poor form to have that in Bravo. I went to FW last spring expecting to play it and I was told to not even bother with an interest list. 0 effort by the room to make their "featured game" run.

Also Foxwoods does not do a great job of scheduling these events. They try to cram it into 2 days and by the time the final table is reached it's already well into the night. They have run it as a 3 day event in the past and it was great. I think they received negative feedback from recs though which is a shame.

How will 20/40 stud action be Monday afternoon? Also am I drawing dead for 30/60 HOE "featured game" to run Monday?

There was like 26 games last night. That is pitiful for a Friday. Back in the day regularly 50-60 on the weekends if not more. Considering never going back.

Can’t believe there were 22 going at Springfield - there were even 2 5/10 games I think

What can’t you believe about it?! I think it’s awesome that there are more rooms to go to in the area!

Once you get past 2 or 3 tables of a specific game, does it really matter how many are running in total?

That has been up on Bravo for a year and I'm not sure it has ran once. The 20-40 stud is always running, and can be an action game, if it isn't lunch or dinner time with the habitual walkers getting their 10,000 steps in for the day. But by all means, start a 20-40 OE or mix list. I never remember to do it, but I always hop on the list if it is up there.

I was here and it was pathetic. On a high hand day too. The games were not juicy either. My New Years resolution is to write my apology letter to Twin =\
