How is the 10/20 at Foxwoods? Any fun or just a rock garden? Any weekdays better than others? (can't be a weekend). I may just do a day at MGM in DC and a day at Maryland live, but I haven't been to Foxwoods yet, so its intriguing, though driving by NYC sounds like a pain, so it needs to be worth it.

Gracias
10/20 what? 10/20 LHE rarely runs, usually on Saturdays. 10/20 stud runs from time to time.

I've never seen 10/20 NLHE at FW. I've seen 10/25 when a big tournament is running.

Well, why would I read the entire sentence when I can save time by omitting the last 2 words?

The only bigger limit game (above 4/8) that goes regularly these days is the 20/40 with half kill. Game is banannas and often 2 full tables on Fri/Sat. Worth traveling for if you are a limit enthusiast willing to play bigger.

Goes Thu - Sun typically and good mix of longtime regs and UFO's. Giant pots and you get to see alot of hands as players generally are fast. I don't play limit much anymore, but I will still pop into it from time to time when I want my high stakes bingo fix.

GL if you play. They have alot of fun.

I do occasionally play 20/40- generally on vacation and it’s been a long time. will have to figure out how to get the wife up that way, otherwise my quick overnight poker trip by myself is limited to weekdays- I already travel a lot for work so poor form to take off for a weekend.

Was anyone else there last Thursday when all the lights went out? I was shooting craps at the Grand Pequot and all the light and machines went out. They went to grab the case to cover the money and they slowly came back.. It was out for a few minutes. It wasn't at full power for over a 1/2 hour. We were able to start playing after 5+ minutes when most lights were on.

As mentioned by a poster above 10/20 isn't as regular as it used to be unfortunately although it goes during promo days, saturdays and sometimes friday nights. If you can squeeze it I'd just play 20/40 if you can. 10/20 can be a rock garden sometimes and on top of that some of the OMC's who sit in it are judgy and make annoying comments - sometimes when I sit in it i just start opening every pot and 3 betting/capping pots and raising the turn on draws just because it's hilarious to see how fired up they get. 20/40 is a better game IMO but come strong our don't come at all - bring a few buy ins.

So you purposely spew off hundreds of dollars because you like to see a bunch of old guys get annoyed?

There are some things in life that you simply cannot put a price on.

I wonder if that was apart of the power surge that hit Fox Tower aa well. I was in my room watching a movie and everything went out but very briefly

I didn't notice anything in Fox Tower, but when I was coming out of the walkway from Fox they were just finishing up restoring power from Pequot Tower down towards Cali Pizza. Seems like it was just a FW event in part of the property.

A few weeks ago I was in Pequot and there were several power glitches, down for 20 seconds then up again, etc. It was extremely windy out that day.

How bad is this place sinking when Western MA has 19 games and this gigantic room with only 15?

They make no effort so... Wouldn't be surprised of poker was completely phased out of foxwoods a year from now

I live in Philly and play $1/2, limit Stud much lower than $10/20 and tourneys. My wife and I did a Salem, MA trip a couple years ago and on the way back I got a cheap room near Foxwoods and played a little. Since then I have consistently received two consecutive non-summer rooms totally comped. It's a long drive but two free nights makes it very doable and you can get a lot of poker in. I can't imagine you wouldn't get the offers I get playing higher.

I can't speak to the game but they seem to comp out of towners quite well. I just got my January offers in fact. Also there's a lot of nice non-poker stuff to do around there.

People seem to go where the promos are.
Last night foxwoods had about 30 tables going. Mohegan had about 5

Tonight MGM is running a promo and foxwoods is not.

Nobody ever thought that certain sections of casinos would be completely shut down too. But wouldn’t be surprised if that place eventually turns into a much smaller card room

Smaller card room is completely different than phased out entirely.
Closing sections down is not the same as completely getting rid of a type of game.

I never said it would phase out, that was someone else.
