I don't think it's disingenuous. There are other strong options for sure and I've discussed them in other threads, but as of this writing FW still has the most games and game types available on a daily basis in New England and that's just a fact.
Chasers is cool, gives people another option. I don't like that it isn't 24 hours and many regs have told me you can get shut out of games on certain days if you don't show up by 4pm because it's only 16 tables. Not for me, but I'm glad there's another good option to play poker in New England.
Twin River sucks. Worst run poker room in the Northeast and the action imo doesn't make up for it. I live 10 min away and my business is literally down the street and I'm there once a month. I was there early on a ton, but I just couldn't take how the room was run. 3 years on it's still a trainwreck. Also some of the few good staff they had just left for Springfield. It does have a daily 5/10, but it's dried up significantly.
Mohegan is alright, but more of a weekend room. Their 5/10 is good but as you said it's really only weekends and as I said PLO is basically non-existant there. The daily action is meh alot of small buyin daily grinders going for promotions.
Foxwoods still has a ton of games daily and good comps. People like to complain about what we lost (guilty as charged
), but they still give you alot for just poker play compared to others. The game types are also second to none, which may not matter to everyone, but personally speaking I've played PLO, NL and limit all in the same day there and no other current Casino in New England can offer that kind of variety.
Most importantly, the games are still good imo. I do think that will change, but for right now FW has a good mix of games and at least recently the action was great because of all the tourneys. And they had 5/10 nl all weekend for the record. That's not normal, but neither is 7 plo at chasers and I think it's disingenuous of you to type that in caps like it's a normal occurence.
I'm aware FW is heading in the wrong direction. I just booked some trips to Springfield (comped but had to pay for resort fees
). I still for the time being am happy to call Foxwoods my base casino. Offers the most for what I'm looking for between comps, game types, amenities and action.
