I still believe across from CPK is totally ideal, if you ever been there during the week, there’s literally NO ONE playing those slots in that area anyway. Where they put those virtual/live table games (stadium style) is perfecto. Wasted space in my eyes.
re: the bolded. You can add bathrooms and it's no farther from the Fox Tower or Pequot garages than the current poker room is from the Rainmaker or Great Cedar garage.

That said, the CPK location makes the most sense.

This is precisely what the casino wants. They want to draw the recreational poker players to participate in other higher margin forms of gaming such as slots and table games. If this patron never finds the poker room instead finding a seat in front of a slot or at a roulette table this is a gigantic win for the casino.

I agree that as a poker player it would be nice to be in a heavily populated gaming area however most (nearly all actually) poker rooms are strategically placed FAR away from heavy traffic areas as poker provides the casino with the lowest profit margins in all of their gaming.

The casino wants poker players to stop and engage in other higher margin forms of gaming. The do not want slot and table gamers to leave these machines/tables to sit in a poker room.

Good arguments here but downsizing will need to be done. Space reduction is a must. Relocating the poker room/tournament area & the race book would allow them construct some new walls to dramatically cut down on floor space. They could conceivably close that entire side of the casino leaving only a hallway to the rainmaker garage. Tough decisions will need to be made including having 4 hotels. But as mentioned the plan is/must be already in the works. The current situation seems unsustainable, including the size of the poker room.

Lots of reasons probably. Twin river getting poker, and soon a hotel. I think Twin river has more a local feel to it.

Wynn Boston: all the people from Boston and further north won't have to drive so far to gamble.

Mohegan: All people coming up from other way stop at Mohegan instead of driving all way to FW.

Monday Madness: FW probably actually doesn't benefit from monday madness. Instead of people going out every weekend they just wait and go out once a month for the monday madness. That is what I do anyways.

Also, when was last time FW updated their decor? seems tired. The craft beer thing seems cool but I would have a hard time convincing my friends to go to something so far away when we could go to Twin River or eventually Wynn Boston.

Most of the people from north of Boston have already stopped driving to Foxwoods not only due to Twin River but due to New Hampshire now having 11 poker rooms open in the past 2-3 years. Chasers in Salem alone had 15 NL and PLO games running on Sunday after which was only slightly less than Foxwoods and same as Mohegan that afternoon. This afternoon, on a Monday, they have 9 NL and PLO games running.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but is there any use for Foxwoods online coins? As far as I can tell there is none.

I know the loyalty hearts (or whatever they're called) can be redeemed for things, but I'm not going to sit around long enough to bother earning them.

So, If I may ask...you say "I'm not going to sit around long enough to bother earning them." Then there is no reason to play. You have to put in the time to play in order to earn the "Loyalty Hearts" in order to redeem. Look at what you can redeem for.

Coming down for Monday Madness on August 13th! Can't wait. Haven't been down since March. Both times I've come down have been really fun tables.

Good chance I'll be there. Holiday in RI, the only State that still celebrates VJ-Day.

Coming to Foxwoods for second half of the circuit. Anyone have any comments on the Hilton down the road? Fine to stay at?

Thank you. And does anyone happen to know what games generally run in the mix? Specifically 75-150 and 150-300. Thanks

Last time I asked I know badugi and triple draw were in the big mixed games. Maybe limit Hold’em?!

Awesome. As long as there isn’t too many odd split pot games like damaha or razzdugi, I’m in! Thanks for the response

My friend has a boxing match at foxwoods in October. If I play a bunch of hours would it be possible to get comped tickets? It's amateur boxing not professional.

Those games aren’t even close enough to being “allowed” at Foxwoods lol

BTOE quite regularly. Capped big bet occasionally. Depending on the lineup and stakes you might find some S in there but that more often goes by itself in parallel.

Any chance 1/2 PLO gets going on a more regular basis? Or anyone know times it might run? When I am there only bigger plo games are going. I am mostly there during the week so maybe I am missing it when it does run.
