You continue to ignore all the FREE points that Foxwoods gives its players simply for showing up and swiping a card. I get around 200 a month plus the 150 choice benefit. I am here right now and after going to the Players Club they added this months 150 so any rumors about the choice benefit being taken away doesn't appear to be true either.

So if I play 80 hours a month at Foxwoods I'll receive an additional 350 points that your list of rooms do not offer on top of my 136 (1.70/hr). This brings Foxwoods hourly comp from the 1.70 that you quote to an effective rate of over $6/hr on top of my free daily lounge access and $60 a month in food coupons. Keep complaining about Foxwoods comps to poker players.

It's being altered starting next month. This is fact not rumor.

again........ if you read my past posts. That list was in response to a poster claiming foxwoods rake was the lowest in the country. (And that that didnt matter)
Ive also wrote that I’m not that interested in the comps. I also wrote I wasn’t comparing the comp packages.
I have never claimed foxwoods comp package was bad, just stated that they’ve lowered them in tandem with raising the rake, and compared them while comparing the rakes from the list. Comps are not an issue with me. People are very fired up about them and bring the conversation there.
The original point is just a simple one. I don’t like the rake going up- and I don’t agree that I should be thankful for it because other rooms are higher. My world has not come crashing down- I’m not going to start a campaign to boycott foxwoods- I don’t think players who continue to play at foxwoods are “wrong”

Played 2 nights @ Horseshoe Baltimore:
Comps came to $3.80!
Had to insert my players card in a video poker machine to find out how much I earned. (When I inserted the card in the usual kiosk it showed zero.
Nobody in the poker room cashier's cage.
Had to go to main casino to cash out. Short line but they let "diamond" card holders who seemed to materialize out of thin air go ahead of me. Finally gave up & took Uber back to Baltimore Hilton Hotel(through a very sketchy neighborhood).
Hilton was an upscale hotel but no free water ($3/bottle in vending machine) & no refrigerator in the room.
Yeh, I for one him happy to be back at Foxwoods. Free rooms, water, food, gas etc., fairly generous points. Based on my expierence here & elsewhere I am inclined to believe that poker players as a group will ***** no matter what. Oh yeah, did I fail to mention that poker players @ Twin River get $1 per hour & no rooms etc etc. (End of rant).

Can anyone explain the "Mystery Choice" mailers sent out? Says "gauranteed 5 one offer doubles! Must be scratched at a foxwoods rewards booth" and has 2 places to scratch, one for November 3rd, and one for November 10th. I dont understand the wording on it at all

One of those days you get 5, the other day you get 10. You can't scratch ahead of time, so you won't know which day is higher until you show up.

They think I'm going to get excited over the possibility of maybe winning 10 rewards points?

No. The change in the amount of the choice benefit hurts low rollers and helps high rollers. And of course the date restrictions hurt everybody.

We are going to have to stand in line behind two dozen 85-year olds to scratch a ticket? Oh boy this is beautiful LOL!

I didn't even think of that. That's gonna be a huge pain in the ass for most of you.

Already scratched mine and threw it in the garbage. Had 10 pts on the 3rd and 5 pts on the 10th. The day restriction insures I'd never cash it in (not going to work a 12 hour shift and then take a hour drive down to foxwoods for 10 pts).

On the bright side once I get the rest of my points for October I'll have a little over 1,000 reward points saved.:-D

Didn't see it mentioned here, but Foxwoods security is now searching backpacks and pocketbooks upon entering casino. Security said this was a direct result of the LV shooting.

Fortunately, the wife left her brass knuckles in the car

They selectively have done this over the past couple of years after a mass shooting. Then when they feel confident the threat level is gone they stop

Just got back and the place is a morgue with no bad beat so only action will be the high hand days when it will be impossible to get a table. O8 doesn't go anymore and stud is a snoozefest. Looks like Parx for me. Some excitement tho some idiot asked a female employee if she knew what 69 was and got 86th. He wanted to talk to someone. You can't make this up.

Back in 2010, I took a ride down to the 'woods for a morning poker tourney. My wife and I were early and she was in a wheelchair with a broken leg. I had heard about the Stargazer Casino being a "high roller" casino and I jokingly said to her "Let's go to the Stargazer!" She says "Let's go!" I wheel her into the Grand Pequot elevator but I hesitate to push the button for The Stargazer.
She proceeds to tell me to "Press the F@cking button!" I do and we proceed to the top floor 25th or 26th. The door opens and I look to the left and see these big glass doors with a woman at a little desk. I play stupid as I ask if they were open. She goes "yeah but it's a high roller casino and the minimum bet is $200!" I said I didn't have that kind of money but could we come in and look. Now I don't know if it was because it was in the recession or because my wife was in a wheelchair but she looks around the corner and said nobody was there so I guess it was okay. We go around the corner and two dealers who were actually sitting quickly got up. The pit boss showed us the blackjack tables, baccarat table and one roulette table. Place was tiny but I thought it was cool of them to let us see it! It was on a Tuesday or Wednesday morning. I saw $100 and $1000 and $5000 chips! Pretty cool! My question now: Does Foxwoods have any "cranberries" ($25000 chips) I've never seen anything higher than those green and black $5000 chips.

If you scratched it at home you may as well throw it away regardless of the offer being 5 points or 5,000 since you didn't follow the proper instructions for the offer to be valid.

You are required to being the offer to Rewards and scratch it in from of a Foxwoods representative.

I was fully aware of that at the time. Since I was never going on the select days to cash them in anyway it didn't matter.
