You had clearly stated the issue already. The Day Restriction is an obvious hindrance to a lot of people. Does anyone know if the days will change on a rotating basis in future weeks or will they remain Fridays only?

I haven't played at FW since June or stayed since Feb. Exactly one week ago I made a one-week reservation in January at Great Cedar. Midday today I receive a room offer of 2d/wk at TT Sun-Th in Dec (except the last week.) I had not been receiving room offers -- even discounted. First try: no availability. Second try: book 2 nights at TT. Third try: looking for one night and both TT and Fox show up as free; book 1 night at Fox. The Fox reservation doesn't show up in my Accepted Offers, but it does in my Itinerary and I received a confirmation email. FW's carrots and sticks continue to amaze -- but it worked. I booked three nights in December that I wasn't planning on.

On a related note: when I stayed in Feb my brother, who hadn't played poker at FW in years, came out for a couple of days and did play. He received free room offers in a mailer the next month.

I don't know, but I really hope the day restriction goes away.

Wow, there are a lot of empty tables for a Monday Madness. Need some dealers!

Can't be THAT many empty tables when there's 82 live games

There were only about 50 tables going in the first couple of hours. And FishFry, you'll love this, there were NO royals in the first couple of hours. Crazy variance right?

Ya, they opened up several new tables around 12-12:30.

Arrive in the AM & be # 118 or thereabouts on the list for 1/2 NL, Arrive in the PM & get seated immediately: Easy Choice, unless you have the stamina to grind for 12 hours,

For the past half hour, half of the tables in the Wednesday $120 just debated the "what's a legal raise" rule.

I usually play all day. I have to wait now that school's back in session because I get the kids to school before my 2-2.5 hour drive.

Wth? I assume the outcome didn't change the rules, right?

No. Floor had it right, three of us at the table had right, one guy insisted everybody was wrong. Game went on, but you could hear half the room arguing.

Believe they are phasing out 5/5 PLO and will just have 2/5 and 5/10 with 5/10 being timed rake and run it twice option. Think you'd get more action if 2/5 had run it twice also and can use timed rake since less hands per hour anyway. The 5/10 games have been very good

Newbie here. Planning 1st trip to play poker for a weekend at Foxwoods. Looking for cheaper lodging than Foxwoods can offer. Easy access to the casino is preferred. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks yall, flop em dead.

I'd look into the Bellisimo Grand. It's only 5-10 minutes down the road, has free shuttle service to FW, and from what I recall, really nice rooms.

When did they send a letter/email telling us that the Platnium Choice was ending?

Mailing was end of September

I got a mailer which offered me two free rooms in December and I booked them online for 12/10 and 12/11. Gonna play some cards and swing up to Salem as well.

I am not sure why I got this offer. I live somewhat far away outside of Philly but only went once where I played $1/2 for several hours. I assume that December is a slow month and they reached out to a relatively recent visitor who was out of the area for commuter players.

yeah I stupidly thought the mailer was in addition to the monthly promo.
I then went on the website which explains the new changes well.
stinger for poker players but casino margins are thinning

I'd imagine that December would be a big marketing month for Foxwoods to utilize Tanger Outlets for Christmas shopping to lure more people to their destination.

The end of FW is near with that kind of bull****. MGM Springfield is coming along nicely and the Wynn will be the final nail in the coffin.
