thanks. Yea tourney was fun, first live mixed game tourney ive partaken in. Cant wait to find another

Foxy - you going to be there this Thursday? I'll be there from ~1:30 pm until late at night. I've not been since March, but last few times the 4-8 games were much better than the 5-10, is the 5-10 getting better?

DMW - you going to be there Thursday night?

i wont be there thursday, but should be there friday and sat...the 4/8 games are usually always looser no matter what, just becuase of how many of them there are, and the chip amounts, and all the splashing going on. the 5/10 game is usually good (right amount of tight and loose players) but when it's not i will play 4/8 or 10/20...wanted to go to AC next weekend but 2 of my buddies got stuck this weekend so might just be at the woods...sneaky pete and pro-V were driving the steamboat through southern connecticut, haha

Heading down Friday Morning to play the 11 am bounty event. These are new for the Woods. Anyone have any guesses if this will increase or decrease the entries? I haven't played in any bounty events at MS and was wondering what people thought. Last 11 am tourney I played was around New Years and was a pretty big field, something like 190 or 200 players. Buy in was 180.

I have no other frame of reference. Anyone play in the 11 recently? I suspect it will be a large field because, like me, lots of folks will have Friday off for July 4th. Hope for a decent turn out and if things don't work out in the tourney plan on playing some 1/2.

This would be July 3rd. The 400.00 July 4th tourney is on Saturday. Just doubled checked the website. Looks like all the Friday tourneys are a go as normal. 9 and 1 are turbos, 11 is this new 200 bounty and 6 is the 340.

hotrod, i played in that new years time tourney, came in 23rd actually, 20 got paid, FML.....anyway, I would guess that for this there wont be nearly as many people but you'll probably see 100-110. Also, they are doing these bounty tournaments to compete with Mohegan, I haven't personally played on yet but I never liked them but who knows, could create a lot more action

Hi All

I have been playing the last 3 weekends in the HOE 75-150 at the Woods.
The game is soft.

The Foxwoods poker room is a joke. The dealers and floor people are just horrible. They seem to be at war with the customer. I am not even comparing them to lets say the Commerce. Any place where dealers can't keep there own tokes is just not going to be player friendly.

Also they don't have a high limit section. This is crazy. No cell phone use. No eating at the table. Need I say more.

Soft game... but terrible run room.

went today for the first time since xmas break from school and also played 5/10nl for the first time there (there was always 1 table of 5/10nl running with a huge waitlist and never got called) and was really surprised to see how busy it was on a wednesday night. games were great and i'm pretty pumped to start going more this summer. was supposed to get moved to the main table where james woods was playing but somehow luckily got to stay at mine which for most of the night was just a great table. just curious if anyone can compare foxwoods 5/10 to mohegans in terms of regularity of it running etc.

someone also told me tonight that it is really easy to get comped free rooms and stuff if you have the card and go regularly at all. i've probably been 6-8 times in the past year and haven't really used my card for anything yet. what's the best way to go about getting comped/other deals?

figured i'd note that i've never been warned or talked to once for using my cell phone or eating snacks at the table and really have never had a bad dealer or bad experience with the floor/staff.

Question.

Im a 1/2nl regular( by reg, i mean 3-4 times a month).

I have been talking to alot of people at the tables over the past few weeks and it seems that ALOT of people get 2 free comped rooms per week.

Does anyone know the requirements for this? Coming from 2 hours north suck for a one day session. Thanks for any help.

I think you have to put at least 30+ hours a week at a 1/2 table to get that offer or something in that ball park
