Wish I could have stayed longer, enjoy. There was five 2/5 tables most of yesterday-night, and good action. Pleasant midweek surprise.

I'll be down next Thursday the 6th with several others who play recreationally. I was thinking I could get them all to play either the 9am or 1pm $60 turbo. I know these tourny's are pretty much for fun and I don't expect to win much, but I'm sure they would be interested in them.
How many entrants should I see and which run would be better? Also how long do they generally take?

Maybe I run good at table selection, but I still see plenty of guys calling raises cold with 82o, limp/calling $25 with QTo, people shoving 3x pot with TPTK 3-ways, and saw one guy with a monster stack today bet/call from $75 to $275 with AQo on a 359 board. Obviously I just sit there and get AA cracked all-in pre and get stacked by K4s, oh well.

Getting yelled at for betting and straddling at $1/$2 today. Average age of table must be 60, and multiple people sitting with brown $2 chips.

Bet bet bet raise raise raise!!!!!

Still very beatable. More fun now IMO. I can bluff and actually see people fold. Level of play is up, so the huge pots don't happen as often. But you can still find soft tables anywhere live at 1-2. Just have to look a lot harder than I did 4 yrs ago.

Should be 2/4, 4/8, and whenever 8/16 runs

Generally that is correct. A few people moved from a $4/$8 game with them and the dealer didn't color them out.

I must have jinxed myself today. Was playing well and was up about $200. I then got in a big pot where i turned the nuts (Jhigh str8), I bet $80 into a $70 pot at that point. Other player in the hand thinks for awhile before putting me all in. I'm doing fist pumps in my head at this point.

River is third heart on the board and he turns over the nut flush and takes down the $700ish pot.

I don't have anything too negative to say about his play, but felt like barfing when heart hit the river.

Oh well.

Lets get a 1/2 or 2/5 PLO game going tomorrow. Going to sit at 1/2 nl and nut peddle and wait for the game to start.

That is so funny. Everytime that I play stud, I am the youngest at the table by a good 30+ years and all they do is slam NL players

Anyone headed down today? I will be there around 5pm.

Anyone see the lady break her arm in the poker room yesterday?

Around 5:00 p.m., some guy passes out near the check in desk. As he is crashing to the floor, he wacks into this 60 year old lady, knocking her down. The guy was out cold for a little bit, but then woke up.

She was sitting there on the floor, right under the wide screen tv with the bad beat jackpot display, bone was sticking out of her wrist.

I didn't see the actual accident happen, but I think everyone saw the giant white sheet the put up. The guy went out holding a bandage to his chin and the lady went out on a stretcher about 10 mins after that.

On another note, I was at the best 4/8 table I have seen in a long time. Second table from the window, I was there from about 3pm-midnite. Anyone else around?

yes a friend has a suite apparently for the entire weekend! I'll be down there today and tomorrow, but I might not play tonight if the waiting lists are atrocious... we should try and actually meet this weekend since I still can't put a face to your name =P

Def gonna try out the saturday 120$ tomm night

the burke bar is great in my experience, but I much prefer to have an actual table... sometimes you get stuck next to messy eaters / people who talk your ear off at the bar. I'll def be stalking the bar seats tonight tho...

my journey for gold card starts as of tomorrow... (it's on a 6 month cycle right? jan-jun/jul-dec?) Any hints on how to get that as quickly/cheaply as possible? I hate table games but understand they have to be played...

My buddy plays Slots, and gets gold every 6 months with limited play. He is there 5-6 days every week and hardly ever plays them.

You should talk to Iwearsportsjerseys, or Pat, if you meet him in person. He has the brainpower to figure all of the points/games etc....how to get the cards in the fastest, cheapest way possible. He will be down tomorrow. Plays 5/10, wears a gray skynard sweatshirt, looks like he is 15 years old.

Wow for real I actually thought about taking the trek down but it is 1.5 hour drive. I might be there tomorrow afternoon though.

Do you get Wifi in the poker room with ipod touch and things? I heard you get it all over foxwoods but never really got confirmation on that.
