lol for sure! but honestly i'm sort of over the whole thing. i'm only 20 and I'm confident enough with myself to say that I'll see 100k in my lifetime... so no big deal, right? if the guy who won the bad beat jackpot was really so butthurt... then it's ok with me. i've got my whole life to live and welp... his bitter one is reaching its finish.

Just surprised that with someone under the age of 21 being involved in the hand, Foxwoods didn't say no way.
I'm suprised that they paid it, I guess they didn't want the controversy.

Some of the 'rules' are just ways of persuading players to obey the existing rules They won't pay the jackpot if you; have racks on the table, talk during the hand, act out of turn etc.

But this is a clear violation of state law. FW could easily have refused. Remember this the next 200 times we bitch about the floor getting a 14$ sidepot wrong.

xbeatax,

if it makes u feel any better, i was also escorted out of foxwoods by casino security a few years back for playing underage. they told me i was banned for life, took my picture, made me sign some documents

i ended up laying low for a few months but then going back. i recieved no trouble from security or anything, they didnt seem to recognize me, or care if they did.

you should have no problem playing at foxwoods in the future, once you turn 21, they dont enforce the bans at all, in my experience

still, sick beat

Just because the havent got you yet doesnt mean you are in the clear. When they do get you it will be trespassing. Just so you know.

Trust me, they do keep track of banned players and will notify the police if they find her on property. Given the commotion of your situation, your face will probably be recognized at least for awhile. I suggest waiting quite awhile and then sending in the letter as they suggested. Look forward to seeing you at Mohegan at the end of April...

Considering your plight was the talk of Mohegan today as well, you should probably lay low for a while. Or wear a big hat.

Ivey played in casinos and he was illegal; Annette played online before she was of legal age, didn't she? Half of you are probably sitting there toking on some weed...its just unfortunate that happened, bad timing.

30% of the 1-2nl games players are underage, enough with these comments.

Casino allows this to happen daily. Casino should be fined heavily for allowing underage people to play, drink, be on premise. Really how hard would it be to card people just like every other alcohol serving establishment does in america. They have time to ring in your player card but dont have time to check a date on an id.

They didnt mind taking her rake all night, just like they dont mind taking everyones underage slot losses. They wont pay out winnings though. They card you to win the money but they dont card you to play and risk the money. Seems a bit shady for a billion dollar company.

If im her, im pulling the much option, or saying to everyone im going to much unless some of you throw me some money. Or im saying i forgot my id and dont know my SSN. They would of given her a few months to get the proper ids. Or at least talk over her options with a lawyer etc.

And that would be a criminal defense lawyer if she followed your advice.

C'mon 30 percent of 1/2 players are underage at Foxwoods? Not sure where you pulled that number out from but I highly doubt it.

Your post sounds like it is from someone who doesn't mind breaking the rules but hates getting caught. You can't blame Foxwoods in this instance. If they paid her the money they would be screwing themselves.

The girl knew full well what she was doing was wrong and had no problem taking the risk of losing her money and being banned for life. IIRC they let her keep the cash she had on the table. I am pretty sure they don't even have to do that.

Also one more quick note. This person may want to get this issue cleared up before you are making a thread about how you put your last dollar in a slot machine and won 20k but Foxwoods is holding the money because you were banned for life.

We know they didn't recognize you coming through the door, should have made sure you weren't banned for life and had no problem taking your money while you were losing.....

That's right, why didn't she just say she forgot her ID and come back a month later?

even then they would know she wasn't 21 at time of win

No harm in consulting with a lawyer. She was playing, no one asked for id prior to the jackpot. edit: especially since they let her cash out, the jackpot would be another pot she won.

Did she bust you off the table before the hand hit?

I heard this girl has some sick skills. My understanding (this is received second hand) is that she was showing the dealer her cards and they were quite impressed with the moves and decisions she was making.

It must suck now but she will probably see that $100K again. Good luck after you turn 21. BTW, having worked there, I know they will reinstate you. Just let the smoke clear.

There are some real crotchety people in that room. Someone makes them more money than they will probably ever see at a poker table and they get pissed off and angry? Unreal.

Just out of curiosity, anytime I play at foxwoods they ask you for your dream card, and if you don't have one, they ask if you would like to make one so that you can be eligible for the bad beat if it hits...so if this girl was not 21, she would not have had a dream card, right? Was she using someone else's? That could be a major factor in whether or not foxwoods reinstates her if she was using someone else's card.

She might of just not gotten one at all because she was underage, she sacrifices comp points to be able to play? pretty standard

You have to have a dream card to be eligible for the BBJ?
