was at FW last night. i went to the apple store today to get an ipod touch. not only do they not have the 32gb or 16gb sizes but if you use your points to purchase them they make you purchase the protection plan with it for an extra 70 points.

wtf is that ****.

I will be up there today (leaving in like two hours) doing a live coaching session with someone then I am going to probably play in the 5/10 NL game rest of the night depending on what else is going on. Can PM me if you want to say hi or have an interesting prop bet or two. I am coming up with a friend also so he might convince to get into a tournament once I free up.

Just curious..

25 here.
23 here.

I'm hitting up some of the Acts action, 1/2 and 2/5 NL, depending on how soft the games are with everyone coming into town for the tourneys.

I used to know a lot of 2/5 NL regulars, but I've been out of the loop for some time; getting back into the dish!

How's the 1/2 tables early in the weekend mornings, will there be more than three or four tables active? I'm looking to get there around 4 a.m. to 6 a.m. and leave by around noon on either Saturday or Sunday depending on which day my wife flies back in from her work.

I used to go there a few years ago on early Saturday and sometimes Sunday mornings and the action was always pretty good, I think about six tables, but wondering if it's now just out and out dead around that time given the state of the economy. I had to stop going the last couple of years or so as we had a new son, so I'd like to get back into it now that there's some spare time.

Hey guys couple of questions/statements:

1. Was anyone there on Saturday night (tonight)? I saw on the tournament schedule online they were going to run an Act 3. Does anyone know if it went off or how many runners there were?

2. I know you get $1.50 per hour playing at the cash tables, do they give you any dream points for playing in the tournaments? Do the hours in a tournament count towards your 500 hours to get the black card?

3. Someone mentioned a $10 food comp for playing 40 hours in a week. I wanted to add that the last few times I have made the final table of a daily tournament they have handed out $10 food comps to everyone. Not sure if thats standard practice.

4. The platnum card benefits are sick! Free hotel room 7 days a week?!?
So theoretically you could play 40 hrs a week at foxwoods like a full time job for 6 months and then just move in to the hotel? lol.

I disagree !!!! I play a couple of times a week and every weekend and yes it's slowing down but I think your reaching to say it will be dead by the end of the year. Friday night, there was a must move table that lasted til 130ish and the main game lasted til 4 am.... On Sat morning main game started going at 9ish and then soon after that a must move game started. There where at least 5 people on the list all afternoon (I left around 430 pm) I know more that a few players have moved up to 20/40 but there will always be a couple of 40 players waiting for a table playing the 20 as well.....

I think sometimes they try to get a must move game going and It never gets off of the ground due to players not willing to play short !!!! So, I would like to see more players just sitting down playing short and then I think it will fill up !!!! This would help the game during these tough times.

I'm in my late 30's Bald guy sitting on the end of the table swing by say Hi ...

5man

1. It was annoying because there were so many Acts (2s especially), it was hard to hear your name. I actually got blinded off for an hour before I checked in and realized the act was in progress.

2. It's a dollar an hour, at least for the $2/$25 and $1/$2 NL games.

3. Yes. You get a hat too, haha.

4. Yeah, but you have to log in a minimum of some ridiculous number of table hours. You're basically THERE 7 days a week.

Also if anyone could chime in on if you get dream card points for playing in tournaments I would appriciate it. I guess I'll just ask next time im there.

Hey LOO,

I know the $120 SNGs they give 1 point; I don't know if they ladder your points based on buy-in (i.e. the larger the tourney buy-in, the more points you'll accumulate). That's a pretty good question though I'm sure u can just call the Dream Card office and find it if it's really burnin' yah.

Yesterday was like the 2007 class reunion for Foxwoods. ALL of the regulars that were sitting pretty @ the $2/$5 NLs were playing at the $1/$2 NLs. Apparently...it's gotten WAYYY hard, and the fish have dried up on that level.

Did anyone experience any issues at $2/$5 NL? I've had two losing sessions at that level, and met decent success @ $1/$2s.

Moose may be the first man to go Platinum at both casinos in the same time period.

I was told that you don't get points for playing a donkament last year. You do get a food comp for final table, I wondered if I could take it to Fuddruckers and get 70% of a cheeseburger.

Having an occasional 10-20 table on weekends that holds people waiting for another game is worse than dead.

Myron will only get them if you get points for just walking around the poker room.

Same here, except there were about 130 people.

At the Borgata the only high limit game that runs through the night is the 40/80 and the 20/40 game didn't start until 11am on Saturday. But by Saturday evening there were at least 4 20/40 tables going.
Agreed, my last few times at FW, the 10-20 LHE was like watching paint dry. I used to get up there around once a month. I have switched over the winter to Borgata - I'm from NY so Borgata is only ~ 15 minutes further (w/o traffic). The Borg games seem to have more donks, though there is a fair number of regular tighties. Not certain where I'll go this summer once the GSP traffic picks up...
