Is it advisable to leave a car in the casino parking lot 5 days while traveling out of town? Would Mohegan be a safer option?

I've heard of people having more issues at Mohegan than Foxwoods.
Had a friend few years ago leave his car in garage on Fox Tower side for 5 weeks (WSOP) and no one ever said a word.

I can't imagine how this would be a problem. Make sure you part close to the door in a more heavily populated area. If you park it say on Level 3 in the back corner every night its presence will be magnified and more likely for security to investigate. Still unlikely for only 5 days but still no need to increase your risk.

Are the Choice Rewards back starting in March? I just logged in and it looks like I have Choice Rewards (Gold, $30 pts, BSP, Free Bet) for five weeks in March.

They show up for me as well, but only list Fridays.

Looks to me like Friday only also. Replaces the scratch/pull tab mailers.

Yes they haven't changed, still Friday only and same choices. They just eliminated the mailer which was really stupid to begin with.

Can players use a debit card to pay for a tournament buy in?

Foxwoods isn't like a lot of other casinos. You can't get a room comp for same-day poker play. In fact you wouldn't start receiving room offers for at least a month or 2.

Thats a shame but thanks for the reply! Do you have any recommendations for hotels to stay at while playing at Foxwood/Mohegan?

So, no online purchase for the bus routes? Just show up at the scheduled pick-up location?

Coming back down for the high hand on the 26th really excited. Last time I got set over setted to bust my roll. hope to run better this time. Although my table did hit 2 royals in like 30 min which was insane. Probably try to get there around 930 this time to avoid the list.

Might want to get there even earlier if you want to avoid a long list.

Bellisimo Grande and Cedar Park Inn are ok, have shuttle service to foxwoods, and relatively inexpensive. If you're paying and making it a little trip just look at the foxwoods properties, Thursday and Sunday you can probably get a room for $79 at 2 trees or fox tower. Friday will cost you though.

Depends on the bus carrier I guess, but most should be supporting online ticket purchasing at this point. Peter Pan and Greyhound do, I know that much.

Correct, just show up, cash only. Chinatown buses in Flushing/Elmhurst are $15 (+$2 tip for the driver on the return bus) and offer the biggest bonus package when you arrive. It's actually slightly bigger (additional $10 matchplay I think) right now as an extra incentive for a couple weeks over Chinese New Year.

I just noticed you also asked about Boston before, pretty sure all of this same stuff I've mentioned about the comps is true for the buses that leave from Malden / Boston / Quincy as well:

Unfortunately, not true, they just operate these bus runs for cash on the spot. Really no online presence other than the links I've provided in this thread.

And I cannot stress enough that no one should ever take Greyhound Foxwoods <---> NYC. I am speaking from experience here, it's a terrible indirect route and I think a lot of others do get suckered into going this way just because you can buy the ticket online.

Hello, and thanks for the previous answers. I have two more questions:

I will take a greyhound from Boston to Foxwoods and if i dont book a room at Foxwood but a hotel near by, is it possible to place luggage in storage at the casino while i play poker?

And i can see at my Foxwoods account that i have the room offer but that there isnt any available, would it we worth at try to call Foxwood in advance i case they have free rooms?

Just go to any of their hotel lobbies and use the bell desk, tip the guy couple bucks and get your ticket

Most don’t in MA. Peter Pan didn’t and ceased their Foxwoods poker runs from MA this summer. Others bus companies were added to pick up the vacuum. Just call the individual bus company you’re going to use and do as they suggest.

I didn't realize Peter Pan stopped running to Foxwoods. That's a pretty big deal, too bad.

Yeah, i had used PP for years. It was a PITA at first because not all the stops (including mine) were covered. Now I think all original bus stops are but by iffy bus lines. amazinmets is best to pay cash anyway and not give these companies his CC information.

Spent the weekend in Foxwoods. It has been a while. Mostly playing at TR these days. While the staff and the room is way better (waitresses, comp, different games, etc), the players are so much worse.
Any tables of 2-5 I was playing at there would be :
2-4 old man that basically lives in the casino. They always ask for a seat change, spend their time folding with a short stack in front of them and keep complaining they are running bad. I even saw one coming back every hour to pay his blinds just to make sure his stack wouldn't be removed from the table. It lasted for three hours. Ridiculous.
1-2 players watching TV. Same thing, wtf are they doing here? These guys don't even notice when it is their turn to act! If you want to watch a movie, stay home.
2-3 decent players. Headphones. Boring. No profit to be made.

Games were super boring, super nitty. Players are bad but you are not going to make a good profit when they are just min stack nits...
Foxwoods didn't disappoint me, the players did. Won't be back for a while I guess.
