If you are playing you should plan on getting there 'early'. The tournament starts at Noon both Friday and Saturday and the cash lists will be very long once they start to break tables .. maybe around 600? or so. They also have a Turbo qualifier on Friday night that will take up some tables.

Cash will be NUTS on both Friday and Saturday. Not just for the BBJ, but for all the tournament losers trying to get their $$ back. I want to make it down there Friday afternoon to get on the first 2/5 cash table but we'll see how things go the next couple of days. GL

BBJ still climbing? Sadly I've had to move up north to Manistee. Doesn't seem like there are many games around here.

Interesting move ... Last I knew the casino there had electronic poker, maybe 4 tables. Try the Millionaire Party Locator on Michigan.gov to see if there are any charity games, not likely though. Go hit that BBJ in Traverse City, hasn't been hit in MANY years and beware they are tournament heavy during the week, even in the Summer. GL

Yes that BBJ is still climbing. Dealers there tell me its never been that high before. The resvere BBJ will probaly be on room share by the time its hits

Normally I would be close or there by then, but not this week. The PLO game is going at that time, but not so sure there was 'that' much cash on that table just yet to make a stunt like this worthy.

Perhaps this will cause them to fall into the 'no cash on table' trend .. we'll see .. GL

Yep .. except he used the front door to leave!

The guy eluded 2 separate police pursuits and was only spotted by the third because he passed a semi-truck on the right shoulder. He was all-in to getting 'away' ... made it about 70 miles before wrecking his car pretty bad.

Hopefully the cash was still in the car since 'word' is that the winner of the pot will have to file claim for it via the legal process. GL

BBJ hit on Sunday, 145K ... Still pretty high at 69K today so there will still be some good action in the room. Some will flock to MCC now since there's is over 500K, but quands over quads.

Played Thursday PLO and it was fun. The still had a feeder table at 230 AM. GL

Almost to room share again. Wonder how many hands on average it takes to hit

They had it hit 3 times in a VERY short period of time a few years back. I think the 3rd time it hit the BBJ was less than $8k!!

It's all random, just like getting AA dealt to you 3 times in the same session. You can do the math on it, but really only for when no one folds to the River. And the math changes based on how many players are at the table (in the hand).

It usually never gets above $40K, so for the reserve to be above that even before it began was really 'far out there' from normal. A reg did muck a BBJ there as well some time back, so both of these jackpots are way above where they 'should' be if they had actually paid out on that day. GL

Nice to see the $240 still get 80+ runners on Sunday, even during the WSOP ME weekend. Don't forget that a $400 is coming later this month!!

Fun trip to Vegas last week ... for vacation, not poker. See the Detroit or WM threads for more details.

I didn't see players specific to FK bag in the WSOP ME, but there was a good showing from the east side of the state for sure. Lots of 'Sterling xxx..' players bagged from what I remember. I haven't scoured the Day 1C sheet yet.

Next trip into FK might be the $400, but maybe a Thursday before that. GL

5th Sunday $400 starting time has moved up to 1000 AM. Registration is already open and they will be starting with 26 tables, same as last one. No change in structure. GL

Does anyone know the structure of the 5th Sunday $400? I am assuming it is pretty good if they are chopping at like midnight, but wanted to see if anyone had first hand knowledge. Like steady increases in blinds and no big jumps or ridiculous antes, etc?

Considering playing that or making the trek to Soaring Eagle for an MPC qualifier and a side event.

Thanks!

They don't print their structures or put links online. All I can tell you is that with the 40K starting stack you still have 26bb or so even if you late reg and get seated two Levels after 2nd break, which I think is Level 6 (40 min Levels). So there is a lot of play the first 4 hours or so for sure. GL

Monday nights during the Summer are pretty thin ... Probably 3-5 tables of 1/2 going with the potential for a 1/3 PLO game. With the BBJ just hitting as well there may be less interest in 1/2.

Sunday is also a huge day for the room with the $400 5th Sunday tournament so there may be some players taking Monday off if they get a lot of play in that. On the flip side, there are no cash games during the first 4-5 hours of this tournament and maybe they will come out on Monday to 'catch up'. GL

Another record for the FK 5th Sunday 400 .. 415 entries pushed 1st place up to almost $30K. The 'starting lineup' (260) was full around 9AM and the last of the wait list folks got into the tournament by 2nd break.

A change in the structure provided a couple of periods where bust-outs were fast and furious but the tournament did run until past 1100 with a 6-7 way chop. A 'massive' 5-way all-in occurred when they were at 19 players with AA (big stack) holding against KK and 'others'.

Cash started around 3PM with 1/2, 2/5 and a short lived PLO. GL

Thanks for the update. I got there around 10 and was told there were 110 people in front of me on the alternate list and would be at least three hours before I sat down. Didn't have the patience and drove back. Will plan better next time.
