I've made a lot of criticism of Fallsview, but I don't think you can blame the staff for your frustrations that night. If the players made a "gentlemen's agreement" to post a blind raise of $20, the dealer or floor are unable to enforce it so it's up to the players to get the "douchebag" to put his $20 in if he had agreed to do so.
While Woodbine has been approved by the AGCO to have a LIVE straddle, you can be faced with the same situation as I have played in the 5/5 where players agreed to a $10 straddle, but if one player refused to straddle his $10 turn, the staff would not have been able to do anyhing about it either. By the way, the buy-ins for Woodbine 5/5 are only $200-$1,000 while it is up to $2,000 at Fallsview.
If you're going with the rest of us to WPT Montreal this month, the Kahnawake poker rooms are much worse for cash games with an unbeatable rake of up to $15 PER HAND, while Fallsview charges us only that much for 20-25 hands per hour session.
Life is indeed too short if you decide to play high stakes in an underground and you have a girlfriend/wife to live for. Just like the couple of PFC members who win at Fallsview, accept its limitations, but enjoy our profits when we do play there and smile all the way to the bank!

These rules are clearly awful so I say, hey, I'm not ok with this, why don't we solve this by just making it 10/20? I get told no, because not having the extra $5 in the pot kills the action. I laughed. I should note that half the table are collosal douchebag primadonnas that think they're good because they can beat/breakeven at live poker at Fallsview. I briefly decide what to do. Should I just rile them up by not posting the 20 every time? Ultimately, I made the smart move. I left, and I won't be going back anytime soon, if ever.
On the way out, I calmly let the floor know the flaw in the game and the reasons I'm cashing out. They didn't care at all.
I'll try woodbine/underground next time/from now on.
