room doesn't open until noon on weekdays and I think closes at 6am. Haven't played there much in a while but evenings are the best typically.

Anyone know if they run tournaments or SnGs daily at Fallsview?

If so, what are the buy-ins and structures?

Any Fallsview regulars looking for a reliable horse? Looking for a staker.

PM if interested.

Have played in the room a ton, and most faces will recognize me. Actually may be playing over at Fallsview tonight.

What's with this room's wait list? It's always at least 10-15 ppl deep and they never just open a new table.

I just moved to St Catharine's and this wait is killing me.

Even if you call in and then come its still pretty bad. Learn to open new tables.

Welcome to Fallsview poker: the least player-friendly poker room in North America! There is another thread that summarizes it perfectly: the room is juicier than a prime watermelon, but you pay for it elsewhere... Excessive wait times, crappy dealers, crappier floors, loud music, no ipods/electronic devices, no free drinks, etc. Other tactics that have been used over there: breaking full tables just because "the dealer needs to go home", or when there are open seats: not letting new players into the games in an attempt to break them. Plain and simple: the juiciness of the games are a HUGE plus, but if everything else bugs you: play at Seneca on the U.S. side...

Games are poop during the week now. Quite pooopy. So boring. I'm the only action when i come. Bluff off many hundos daily. Never learned how to not blast off my stack into noobs with top pair.

only 2-4 tables of 2/5NL during the week.

I need additional income. Will be going on timmies runs and giving handies in the men's washroom for BI's.

i'll be coming up to niagra with the gf may 16-17 on a thursday night and staying at the embassy suites. was considering getting a couple hours of cards in at some point. maybe late afternoon 5-8pm, maybe super late evening post midnight. any chance of getting in a game as a walk-in. 2/5 or 5/10? do games run late night?

it doesn't sound great reading the thread, but in general, how are the games playing these days?

thanks

You should have no trouble getting a seat. Both 2/5 and 5/10 NL should be running. Doubtful the waitlists are too long on a Thursday night, but there's no harm in calling ahead to ensure you're at the top of the waitlist when you arrive.

It's not like people are drooling $100 bills, but it is not Bobby's Room either. The action is the same as the many other rooms you've played in before.

whats the current BIs for 2/5 and 5/10? current rake structures?

does the 5/10 play much different than the 2/5 in this room?

2/5 is 100 - 500
5/10 is 200 - 1000

There is no rake, just a session fee every half hour. I think it's like 6$ or something.

Did the sit and goes ever run at Fallsview or Brantford? Is there any reason to play at Fallsview instead of the Woodbine electronic tables, which is closer to me, more hands/hour, no tipping and supposedly fishier?

Use up any rewards in your players' cards for any of the Fallsview restaurants such as the Noodle House.

The Brazilian steak houses are popular and a great meal....but you have to be hungry and like meat! Further up Lundy's Lane (you would need a car or it's a short cab ride probably under $10) Carpacio's, Johnny Rocco's and Syndicate are all good options for great meals that are less touristy in price. All 3 are on the same intersection so you could have a cab drop you off at corner and pick (Lundy's Lane and Dorchester)

As for a place to have a drink after....Spicy Olive is a trendy martini bar that usually has a live cover band on Friday's. Get's busy after 11pm but it's a good spot it's closer to the old casino then Fallsview but within walking distance of both.

Don't forget the terrible extra rake of the Bad Beat Jackpot! Since PartyPoker has been alienating rake-paying regs, I'll try playing live again but probably at Woodbine's electronic tables unless Fallsview has gotten their SNGs going.

They tried but it was poor didn't advertise it well and weren't flexible with the rules so it flopped. They tried to introduce like 3 a week....all with different buy ins, on different days and different structures and the very first one was a Sunday that had 23 registered and they wouldn't run if for less then 30. So they had 23 very pissed off people most never came back.
