Someone told me that you can't call to put your name on the cash game list during the series, is that true?

How bad will the wait be if I show up around 7pm tonight for either 2-5 or 5-10?

Correct, no phone-ins during WPT FPC. Surprisingly, the Casino Niagara poker room has been closed until Friday, when it could have earned a lot more revenue with the long waiting lists. My friends decided to play 1/2 at Seneca instead.

The wait was very long at Fallsview on Wednesday. A friend signed up in both the poker room and ballroom in the afternoon but eventually gave up waiting, and decided to go back to the hotel to pick me up and go eat dinner then go shopping, and by the time we went back, he still had to keep waiting until he was finally called upstairs.

I ended up getting there at 7:30 and waited about ten min to get on a 5-10 table. List was short.

Didn't even try 2-5

I didn't wait more than 5 minutes to get on 2-5 downstairs for the past 2 nights.

Is there any other room with great action near fallsview casino? Cash games, whatever stake.

Id rather drive 1hour to go play 1/2 then go back there tomorrow, worst casino service i have ever seen

No. That's the thing, they crush the market in spite of themselves

Niagara and Seneca are only options but neither have good action. Details on what happened?

Not going to elaborate much - I should of read this tgread before going. I have a very negative opinion of it all now. They have 1 thing going for them and it's the low rake on 5-10 NL/PLO.

All the cons have pretty much been said. It sucks to come here to put in hours when in reality you are on a waiting list longer then playing. Very tilting to travel here and spend 7hours waiting in a casino where everywhere you look is a money grab.

I actually don't know why they closed down Niagara, what a dumb idea

As if service for poker players couldn't get worse, today when I tried to leave the Fallsview parking garage, I was informed that I hadn't played enough poker for free parking. They used to give free parking for any amount of poker play, but the lady at the exit informed me that they now give free parking conditional on 'a lot of monthly play'. She eventually let me out for free, but not before giving me a long lecture about how poker players don't make the casino much money and warning me that she noted in my account that I know about the policy so I can't get free parking again.

At $30, the fee was quite high today. Seems like a bit of a ripoff.

I'm curious what was the posted rate for parking, I was there on a Saturday not too long ago and it said the rate was only 10 bucks. I figured it was with a players card or something. It wasn't, just a flat 10. So what was the rate and how long did you play?

The rate today was $30.

I played today for about three hours, which apparently is not nearly enough to qualify for free parking.

That seems like it should have been enough. Not that it really matters but I even told the lady at the parking I thought it was like 30 or 40 to park. She said it never is, maybe on a long weekend.. whatever though, Fallsview could be so much better.

I was warned that the terrible new parking policy is >= 3 hours of poker play from the time you swipe in until the time you swipe out. For those who had 2-4 hours of swiped play, please post whether or not you were charged for parking. This will stop the casual gamblers from bothering to drive to Fallsview.

Possible workarounds with this stupid policy include asking a restaurant or Players Club to swipe your card for free parking.

Good to hear Fallsview has improved. I went there a few years ago and... yeah... Maybe I'll go back sometime in the future

I disagree Seneca has great action on Fridays. Seneca also has great deals on promo days. They also start up tables quickly(unlike in Ontario).

Seneca is a 1000x better poker room, that is no question. Its a great room.

As far as action, it doesn't compare to fallsview obviously, most rooms don't, but it is good on the weekends.

im not usually there during the week but a 1/2 PLO game has been going prolly 3 of the last 4 fridays. it competes with the 5/10 FLO8 though which also runs every Friday. i've also heard they get it going sometimes on saturdays but have never seen it myself

Thanks buddy look forward to playing again... 1/2 seems kind of low for Fallsview... Are you sure you're not talking about Seneca?
