I'm okay with taking the T or whatever but where the hell to park at the T? Most commuters already eat all those T spots up.
Uber people are going to make out nicely...

The EBH parking garage has 2900 spots, 1000 will be used for valet.
There is a 700 car parking lot across the street, 100 of those spots will be for Uber / Lyft. They are implementing some kind of "Geo Fence" around the property so that any requests for a ride will only go to drivers in that parking lot. No idea how that works.
I would imagine at off times there will be plenty of parking in the T garages or the garage at Wellington. Plus, there is an "overflow" lot on Air Force Rd in Everett that has 600 spots.

I'm not real familiar with the area but at today's Gaming Commission meeting the EBH executives said that a lot of their employees were getting off at Sullivan Square and walking or hopping on the T buses that stop right in front of the casino.

I had posted the games permitted a while back in this thread. I imagine when the Gaming Commission was determining its rules that poker was low down on the priority list and they probably just copied them from another state. It kind of looks like Maryland to me. I really only play Texas Holdem, I was looking forward to some new games. It looks like a lot of them may not be allowed. I know there is no Razz, so no HORSE. They can do HOSE.
If there is any good news in that, it's not set in statute or even by regulation. The games allowed are set out by rules approved by the Gaming Commission. So they should be the easiest to change. I reached out to the Gaming Commission a while ago as to how to go about that and it must be done by the gaming licensee. I figured EBH has enough on its plate right now but maybe once the dust settles the Poker Room Manager, the Casino Manager, or whomever the right person is can get together with their counterpart at MGM and work out a proposal for games to add to the list. Or maybe to suggest to the Commission that they strike section 8 and allow the gaming licensee's to submit for approval new game requests as needed.
