It is weird not to have EncoreBoston on Bravo. All the big NE casinos use it with the exception of TR, and even BostonBilliards in Nashua.

Your numbers are high. FYI. Bravo less than that.

What numbers do you have? I was told $5k per table plus taxes and fees totaled $58-something each .....I don’t recall the exact amount from this convo two years ago. This was from a smaller room (24 tables I believe) and of course it is possible they have different tier pricing for a larger room.

Just found another reason I didn't like Atlas a few years back. Buggy as heck. Just downloaded it, have Google Pixel 2 (ie, updated op system), and it won't let me update profile, phone number, settings, always the "unable to complete". And can't register for tables on the app without a registered phone number.

imo the best structure for the buyin and blind for nl game are nl 1-2 100-300 5-5 300-600 5-10 500-1500 10-20 1K-4K 10-20-40 2K-no max

I know a lot of people would like a 1K cap on 5-5 but the problem with that, when you have a deep 5-5 game its kill the 5-10 game thats why i chose a 600 cap. I chose a small 5-10 game that way the game gone run everyday for a long time. I chose to but a cap on the 10-20 game. In my experience no cap game are not sustainable. Rec go busto to fast but if a rec want to play deep you can just switch the game to 10-20-40. I would assume 10-20 and 10-20-40 gone be the same player pool.

I just hope they dont but the 2-5 ultra deep like 1,5K and the 5-10 only run on the weekend. The more you understand poker the more you realise deep games are **** only nit like those.

So, you'd rather call in and be put on hold, possibly get registered for the wrong stakes or game?

I have a Pixel and have no problem registering with Poker Atlas. There were a few tweaks when they first set up. I'm guessing they had to be some customizing with the particular room. I still get an occasional "bad beat" where it doesn't take, but it's still easier, quicker, and more accurate than calling in.

I do wish Poker Atlas had an auto refresh option.

I don't disagree, registering via app is way better. If I can get it to work. I still think they'll end up on Bravo since Wynn Vegas is and all the major poker rooms are on it also around here. Playground though near Montreal used to be on Bravo and dropped it awhile back.

Registering is part of it, but my personal favorite feature is being able to see my name and everyone else's on the list and whether they're waiting in the room, phoned in, or used the app. Much better gauge of how soon a table might open/my name will be called than just seeing the total number on the lists.

is the $1500 cap for 5/10NL confirmed?
06-05-2019 , 07:51 PM
Everything is just rumors at this point, AFAICT.

Subbed. Pretty optimistic about this room. The last time I was in Vegas I stayed and played at the Wynn and was impressed.

Unless multiple people in management are not being truthful the 5/10 is 1500 cap with timed rake of either $8 or $9/half hour (heard both amounts). There will be no jackpot drop for 5/10NL and up.

The more I hear the more the parking validation seems like it is going to be a cluster at least initially with all the traffic in and out of the garage along with chaos within the poker room for such a large Grand Opening. I'd expect to pay full price for parking the first week or so until things normalize.

Tell your friends in management 1500 sucks

The no jackpot drop at 5/10 part of this is pretty much confirmed on their site. Specifically says BBJ and promotions up to 2/5 NL.

Time will tell of course, but MGM, Springfield had very high room prices when they first opened and now even I get free room offers,
I know this is an ancient poast...

But considering how short of hotel rooms Boston is on a regular basis, I would expect that EncoreBoston will have very high occupancy rates. I would not expect there to be any comped rooms for non-whales.

It's not unusual for the Marriott at the seaport to be $600+/night.

We have a reservation at Encore for July-2 for one night to celebrate a birthday... $600.

Exactly.. short on rooms and parking spaces + high demand=High price. It was going to be high price anyways. Encore isnt targeting low rollers. I've excepted it and plan accordingly.

Good write up on MassLive about getting there options, parking, etc.:

Getting to Encore Boston Harbor: By boat, train, car and bus, here are all the ways to get to Massachusetts’ new 5-star casino and resort

Save me a seat on that (one day only ) Wonderland shuttle!

Good write up indeed
Still debating how I'm gonna get there on the opening day. I live in downtown Boston so boats, T and Uber are an option for me. Wondering which one will be the most efficient and less busy at the opening.

Has anyone heard if the boats will be operating on opening day? I'll use them if they are. I didn't see it in the article but could have missed it.

Anyone get an invite for the soft openings? Try to snap a pic of the poker room while there.
