FWIW there are at least 2 hotels going up on RT 16 in Everett. I would expect more to come.

As I'm moving there next month, I am really looking forward to this.

It's a safe bet there will be shuttle service directly to the casino from Wellington Station. Where else Wynn decides to send shuttles to/from remains to be seen.

So my recommendation for the time being, to someone who wants to see some of downtown Boston along with having easy access to Encore, is to stay along the Orange Line, near Haymarket or Downtown Crossing. Possible something near the waterfront could be worth looking into as well, but you'd have to hazard a guess as to where in the harbor their boat service terminal will be: http://encorebostonharbor.com/the-ha...water-shuttle/

If really all you want to do is grind and be as close as is possible without paying whatever the casino is charging, then stay at one of the places mentioned above.
I'm not so sure. I live right in this area, literally. What you may not see is the traffic over to the Wynn is beyond horrible already. The city is getting the squeeze on both sides as condos are now going to start overtaking all over Medford, Everett, Chelsea, Malden etc etc. Couple that with what already has changed over by 99 and 16 its already way too congested most of the day.

Nice hotels but people aren't going to want to stay that far away jsut for a casino. Boston is becoming so isolated and its there is really limited access to move around due to all the ****ty growth and ongoing corporate takeover. its going to be years before the city figures it out and makes it livable for all people.

talking with multipe people yesterday its beyond ridic traffic. My brother is taking 30-45 minutes one way to commute 3.4 miles, i took 45 minutes for a 1.8 miles round trip errand during rush hour.

the boatss will help but you best believe my degen, low rent ass is going to paddling around with a pirate flag up looking to deliver one last bad beat to some yuppie heading home. the mystic will not be safe to travel on. little known fact, legally its international waters so beware. it is known.

I cannot wait to see the clientele this place attracts. Horrible location imo, but the poker games should be quite good for a while.

Every ****bag from Everett, Chelsea, Saugus, Revere etc is going to be a poker pro! I'm excited. Basically all of my cocaine dealers are adequetly rolled and ready to go! Mix up with all the obese old people with their fat pensions, the thriving immigrant and college communties dumping piles of bodies in every year! Sadly we won't be able to fully rid ourselves of the lesser parts of New England (New Hampshire, Rhode Island in particular) so we'll still see those pricks sprinkle in before riding their broke asses back to whatever shanty towns they live in.

Yes sadly, I'll mostly have to keep myself to the high limit areas and VIP nightclubs to socialize with the caliber of degenerate I've come to respect.

Gangi, you must surely live in NH. Am I right, am I right?

Yeah, since '14 but I spent most of my life just north of Boston. Why?

Just a lucky guess. Forget it.

I'm glad that Slingtown decided to go to Fenway and return that banner.

The Encore sign is now lit up like a christmas tree. Saw it clearly the other night going over the Tobin. We're close people, very close...

They began marketing a June 24, 2019 Opening Date since at least last summer. The site still has that date listed which is of course a good sign.

Any grinders planning on going out there for the opening? I've heard it mentioned in the WR thread... I would be very interested in getting a room with other players for the opening 2-3 weeks (or whatever time seems reasonable) if anyone has a spot available.

Is 96 tables accurate? Guess they plan on running some feisty tournaments.

Good luck finding anything a grinder can afford.

ABnB showing several listings at $49/night (private room) within walking distance for the last week in June.

Casino address is 1 Broadway Everett.

When the hell are they ganna give us some information on the poker room?

When MGM was opening, the poker manager came on 2+2 and was very active with discussing what games would run and whatnot like 6 months in advance.

I grew up and live in Boston today after having moved back here living in various places. When this place hopefully opens on 6/24/2019 it should be quite a poker economy. There are so many wannabe poker experts, tens of thousands of rich kids going to college on daddy's expense, local degenerates, and the usual educated and accomplished doctors, lawyers, MBAs, old money New Englanders, etc... that there will be plenty of $ to go around in cash and of course all the small buy in tourneys which should draw huge crowds.

I will try to be a little more active on this thread going forward. There are so many options for living near the casino short term, long term, a few days, etc... as well as just getting to and from the casino that the optimal strategies won't be known until we are a little closer based on new openings. This place is smack in the middle of many intersections and there are dozens of ways to get there so don't worry about being stuck in the middle of nowhere, worst case you are $20 Uber away from this place and I'm sure you can prob get there for $8 Uber Pool or something like that.

This will literally be the hang out for all people who gamble, especially if they get sports betting legalized in MA and they open up a SportsBook. 96 tables sounds amazing too for poker. The 24 hour availability is so key... Most things in MA close at like 10:30pm, then if you are lucky 2am, a handful might be open to 4am and less than a handful 24 hours like IHOP/McDonalds that literally anyone who has good service/options all hours of the day/week will crush it.
