Dude. Are you getting a kickback for every player you bring to the game?

Saw Wynn Vegas is doing away with their parking fees.
04-30-2019 , 09:34 PM
Quite a few places in Vegas have started to turn around on parking fees and a few places have said they'll add a few dollars to the room price but remove resort fees too. People have voted with their business by not showing up and many places are really suffering for business.

Even if they did decide to charge for parking/resort fees I would've started with something like $5 for parking/$10 for resort fees and see how the reaction is vs like $15/$30.

The real question is how far they’ll go with certain mix games (different variations of draw games), if they need approval from Comission and such.
Cause I tell ya, the mix games out here in Vegas are far away from HORSE, lots of gambly types of draw games!
I don't think they'll go too far, at least in the beginning. The MGC limits them to only "authorized" games. From the MGC regulations on poker:

8. Types of permissible poker games
(a) A gaming licensee may offer the following types of poker games:
(1) Seven-card stud (high, high-low split and high-low split eight or better);
(2) Hold 'Em (high);
(3) Omaha (high, high-low split eight or better);
(4) Five-card draw (high and low);
(5) Five-card stud (high); and
(6) Mambo stud (high-low split six or better).
(b) No gaming licensee shall offer or permit the playing of any poker game in its casino room which is not authorized by this section

I'm not sure how lowball games fit into that.

2-7 lowball is 5 card draw low.

I've seen it on the interest list at MGM.

Only lowball is 5 card draw? Who wrote these regulations? Sounds like an unusual mix of games.

I guess 2-7 triple draw is still 5 card draw. Never played but I'd give it a shot if it ran, especially in a mixed game.

I’ve heard June 23, 24 and 26 floating around but with the license issue now settled and construction currently scheduled to be completed on June 1st, it wouldn’t surprise me to have them open sooner. They have a generic “June Opening” listed on their site which leads me to believe they will be opening prior to these abovementioned dates. Management is already in the building working.

5 card stud, a game no one has played since The Cincinnati Kid? APPROVED!

Badugi, a game actually played in 2019? NOPE! Get out of here with your 4-card nonsense! We're Massachusetts, and we know better than anyone else, even in businesses we've never run before!

Hi All, with 88 tables here at the Encore Boston, it would make it the 3rd biggest in the country I believe. behind Commerce and Foxwoods. Are there any others as large??

Foxwoods is downsizing to 60 right around the time Encore opens so there will be a large gap beneath Commerce and Encore for largest room.

I was looking at Bravo and I see that there are several poker rooms 20-30 miles away from Boston and they have hardly any tables running. (Nashua, NH/etc.)

Am I supposed to believe that all these poker players itching to play are not willing to drive 20 miles right now, but will somehow flood Encore when it opens? Why are the current poker rooms in the area so dead?

I realize that people have high hopes but nowadays, it seems that more regs are chasing openings and openings are full of regs and traveling pros, which is how people described Springfield opening to me.

I can't speak for the community, but I've been to the Connecticut and Springfield casinos a few times in the past year, and haven't driven up to New Hampshire even once. I'm planning to go to the Encore room one or two days a week. I think looking at NH isn't a good measure. It's almost an hour drive from inside Boston, and that's only if you go when there's no traffic.
